I did some research and it seems there are more complains about ADT on
internet.
And Frontpoint has much better review. so I decided to go with Frontpoint.
Frontpoint has three service plans . I was told that the $42.99 plan has
the feature to send alert to monitor station even the panel is damaged after break-in. You can check their website for the feature list of each plan.

报警这东西科技含量不高，防个小贼还凑合，搞不定那些大学毕业的。
ADT or Frontpoint哪个好？用过的朋友来说说。另外，如果break in进来后直接毁坏

control the system from my smart phone. The comparative plan cost $42.99/
month at FrontPoint security (with 2 year contract), it costs $29.95 at
Safemart. They also gave me 3 months free if I pay 1 year upfront, so it
cost about $24/month.
In terms of installation fee, it's about $10 (for them to configure your
sensors). It's self installation. Very easy to install as everything is
wireless.

as FrontPoint, but monthly rate much lower than FrontPoint.
I haven't triggered an alert yet so I can't comment on the quality of
monitoring service ( I assume they all source the monitoring to the same 3rd

通常要和网络摄影头联合起来用好一些.
一般是有break in后,你可以用网络摄影头,确定是否有盗窃或者误报,通常警察只能外
头看看,如果小偷在你屋子里躲起来,警察走了,还会接着偷, 有网络摄影头的话,可以通
知警察小偷还在屋里.
如果有防盗系统, 有的房屋保险可能会有discount |

别听他瞎扯，wireless比hardwire好多了，也方便。现在你自己去安装FrontPoint,
ADT之类的最新系统都是wireless的，没人用布线麻烦的hardwire了。我就是因为维护
老房子以前的hardwire系统太麻烦才换的
至于可靠性，基本没问题。跟你的wireless router比只好不差。电池几年换一次。没
电了或者出故障了会提醒你，根本不用担心。安装，换位置方便多了。
我试了几家的，最后用了simplisafe.com的，500多，自己安装半小时搞定，月费需要
的时候再开通，$15-25一个月，随时cancel没contract。其他选择还有自己买设备用
nextalarm的服务，$10一个月，或者用那种self-monitor的系统，有个叫aasalarm的，
警报打给自己的手机，没有月费 |

实在太贵.... 我觉得有几年contract的都不值，隐形的好几千块就进去了，而且有的
公司还有BT条款(比如ADT)，三年结束的时候如果不cancel自动给renew三年。。。
真要花那么多钱，不如找个review最好的了，前一阵还研究过，好像frontpoint的用户
满意程度最高，ADT最差。 |

电池能用几年还不够？家里的smoke detector不都是用电池的。干扰更是天方夜谭。我
老玩过HAM的，一个足够功率的能压制2.4G的发射源要多少钱....贼要是有这设备技术
犯得着来偷东西么。平常正常使用没那么容易被干扰。试过放在router / 无绳电话旁
边都没事。hardwire还可能被剪呢
装了hardwire的系统根本就不可能再加无线了。哪个公司有这设备.... 有也不会给装
的，除非另外加钱。加的钱足够再买一套了。目前流行的都是GE产的Simon XT以及衍生
产品。都是wireless的，还真没见到哪个新系统还是hardwire的。这些个security
system公司大部分都是卖服务，包括frontpoint, 他们自己根本不产设备的。 |

wireless. There are 2 wireless concepts.
1. Sensors are wireless (so that I don't need to drill holes on the window/
door frame)
2. Main system (phone module) is wireless, so that I don't need a hardwired
phone connecting to the security system. If alarm triggers, it calls central
monitoring station using the wireless module. A thief won't be able to
tamper your system (such as cut your home phone line or smash your system)

有一次不小心早上下楼，触发了motion sensor，control panel响了大概半分钟被我
disarm了，很快监控人员就打电话来问我怎么回事，解释清楚就结束了。
但是后来又有两次不小心触发了sensor，导致control panel又响了大概十来秒，我赶
紧disarm了。本想可能监控人员会又电话过来问，但是一直没有电话，这种情况正常么？ |

require a lot of hole drilling and routing)
2. I use Simon XT control panel, which i think is pretty good.
3. of course pricing of all these equipments. And montly rate
4. you can use your smartphone to check the status of your security system,
and arm/disarm it. Most of security system uses Alert.com. There is alert.
com app you can use

发帖数: 12 | 49 贵了点。至少你可以拿到4-5个sensor，设备和安装免费，三年合同，每月$45，
cellular监控（不用landline）。加sensor需要加钱。
或者选用frontpoint security，价钱更好，设备配置更灵活，也是cellular，
cellular 比landline更安全，landline在外面被剪断就没用了，VOIP同landline一样。

可以用手机直接arm/unarm, 查记录什么的。
我们也有过alarm报警的经历。 警察真的来了。
你可以在他们站看好要什么sensors, 然后打电话跟他们讲价。 一般降一两百是没问题
的。
我现在还在用， 好想如果现在用户推荐新客户， 新老用户都有一个月免费。 如果你
