现在的问题是，我是纽约的，报名时在那个CID表里填了纽约的地址，把表寄给了FSMB
，目前已拿到准考证，还没有预约考试。
虽然报名成功了，但是还有两个比较困惑的问题，一是报名时向FSMB报名，还是向具体
的州报名；二是考试时是可以在自己住的州考试，还是必须跑到要求少的州去考试？因
为在FSMB的网页上看到的具体州的要求好像是注册license用的，不是考试报名的条件。
楼主的那个google链接我之前没有用过，现在觉得挺担心的，不知道具体州到底有没有
要求。
请已经考过Step3的朋友帮我们这些新手澄清一下。多谢多谢！ |

If my original certification expired before step 3 application, any other
certification shall I need?
BTW, in my memory, 7 years validation means from step1, cs, ck and step3. Am
I wrong?

会自动从ECFMG转你的相关材料过来。

1. 拿到ECFMG certificate就可以报名了，要在FSMB上报名，之前要注册账号，输入自

2. 选择STEP 3， 2016年开始，考试价格是830了，涨价了。

specific requirement。比如Ohio周围的，必须要求已经residency 9 months 之后，
包括IL也是这个规定。所以我是一个一个点的。发现CA, CT, WV不错，不需要apply

org and turn out to be the same one.
I choose Connecticut, as most people do.

是必需在拿到certificate之后才能报名，9月3号之前可以报今年的考试，9月3号之后
报的就得2011年考了。而且就算9月3号之前报上了，他们给的三个月eligibility
period马上就给我们定下来了，万一准备不好又得花钱延期。我觉得呢，不如9月3号之
后报明年年初的考试比较踏实。我给fsmb发了email，有回答了再update一下。 |

However, whatever happened can't be changed. The fact that you are done with
step 1 can't be changed. Would suggest you to match as early as possible,
especially if you need visa as I do. |

The time limit means you need to pass the USMLE exams from the first to the
last within that time frame. It does not have to do with how long after
passing all of the exams you apply for licensure. Your exam scores do not
expire.

15 minutes. There is a paper application and you can take a look what info
you need to finish this application. I did that 1 month ago when I started
to work on step3. After you finish the online application, you need to get
your signature and picture notarized and mail it to the step3 office. You

在不算什么的啊。申请一下还是有好处的。将来想挪窝的时候就不用一次次的办材料啦
