to burn, if the furnace is in attic or basement,
attic or basement may be too air-tight,
call contractor to check
the problem, it can be dangerous in my own opinion.

furnace should have two pipes: one is for vent; the other is for fresh air
intake. I guess that your contractor did cheap way, did not install intake
air pipe. |

There are indeed two pipes, one exhaust and one intake. Someone from the
company came and diagnosed that my return air duct may not be big enough. I'
ll see how it goes after they widen it.

a similar problem and learned a few things. If you haven't tried this,
please start with the simplest thing: pull out your air filter and see if it
improves. If you are using some good filters, such as the pleated filter
from Costco, the chance is the filter is blocking air flow. You may want to
use a different type of filter. |
