每个国家的情况都很复杂，例外的情况总是有的。
要看民主与法制的总体趋势，
把所有国家的democracy index和corruption index
做个相关性统计不就行了。
从两个列表中取国家地区的共同部分，共163个。
算出来的相关系数是0.7，高度相关。

随手找了一个世行的数据，是1960-1976年的。你也可以找出联合国的数据，用1950年
的数据替代1960年，结果一定是一样的，那就是中国人口增长人数最多。

据来源是世行。中国年均GDP增幅是5.22%，在这104年个国家里排到44位，算是中上。
作为对比，同期世界各国GDP增幅平均为4.96%。
也就是说，在中国仍然搞计划经济的这18年里，在中国拿出大量人力物力财力开发大杀
器的时候，在中国大搞阶级斗争文化革命的这个年代里，中国经济增长速度依然是高于
世界大多数国家的。如果这样的经济也能被形容为“陷入经济崩溃边缘”，那岂不是全
世界大多数国家都已经掉悬崖里摔死几遍了？
再来看第二组数据，同样是世界银行的数据。选了1980-2008这28年。中国GDP年均增速
高达9.91%，是世界同期平均增速的近三倍，在全球所有国家里遥遥领先。所以说，改
革开放也不是说一片黑暗，光看这个数据就很喜人嘛，至少优于1961-1978年期间的表
现。所以说，批判改革开放的时候，也要承认改革开放的确是有成绩的。当然现在的突
出矛盾是，没有人要否认改开导致经济总量增长，只是对这个经济增长的代价巨大感到

*为估计值，第一个IQ是2002年数据，第二个IQ是2006年修订数据，中国2006年人均IQ达
到105，排名世界第五，美国的人均IQ为98，名列第33位，俄罗斯为97，名列第36位，而
印度目前只有82。IQ最高的国家是新加坡，平均108 。
从表中可见，排名前30位的国家和地区，除了加拿大、澳大利亚和新西兰自外，都
位于欧洲和东亚，而东亚国家和地区则占据了前10名之中的8个。在名次靠前的国家中，
既有非常发达的国家，也有像中国、朝鲜、蒙古这样经济和社会发展比较落后的国家，
可见人均IQ跟一个国家的经济社会发展水平并没有必然联系。

这个其实正是那个文章的疑点之一。在那个文章里，发现大陆几乎一半的肝癌样品里有
疑似马兜铃酸引起的mutation pattern。但是这个其实是一个相关性数据而不是成因数
据。这个其实可以有两种解释，一个解释就是马兜铃酸能引起肝癌，另外一个解释就是
那些有肝癌的人由于某些共同原因都接触过马兜铃酸。
如果马兜铃酸是直接成因的话，那么一个非常明显的推断就是大陆的肝癌比例应该比其
他地区大大高出很多，因为大陆的使用中草药比其地区都多，而且因为大陆几乎一半的
肝癌样品里有疑似马兜铃酸引起的mutation pattern。但是事实并不是这样，大陆的肝
癌比例虽然比较高，但却远远不是最高的。世界上肝癌比例最高的是蒙古（是中国大陆
的四倍），然后是老挝，Gambia, 埃及，越南，南朝鲜，泰国这些地方。中国连前5都
不入。实际上肝癌的发病率和该地区的肝炎发病率几乎就是成正比的，和用不用中药倒
是看不出什么关系。
在这个角度看来，文章的作者其实不能排除另外一种可能性，那就是大陆几乎一半的肝
癌患者都由于各种原因服用过含有马兜铃酸的中药。这个其实可能性很高。首先是肝癌
