发帖数: 1738 | 13 很久之前看过此片，很多细节都记不住了，但不得不说，我非常喜欢Edward Norton在此片中的表演。也许如你所说，片子的情节太刻意太戏剧，有点做作，但我觉得Edward Norton在演Derek时候还是下了很多功夫的。
首先，看他的体型，非常有肌肉感。我一直以为他是一个很Nerdy的人，即使在Fight Club中他也是那个纤细和敏感的人。但在American History X中，他的肌肉显然要多于他所创作的其他任何一个角色。为什么？因为他是一个gangster，那种四肢发达头脑简单的人，那种容易被人忽悠而无需太多道理的人，那种大哥大形象。然而，Derek又不仅仅是一个单纯没有头脑的人，他是那种需要一个good reason去做一件事的人。这也许是一个牵强的个性原因/伏笔，交待他最终脱离了gangster所渲染的种族仇视的氛围。

练肌肉+蛋白粉啥的，几个月就练成那样儿了，引无数梦想肌肉男竞
折腰纷纷问咋练的。结果拍完人家就不练了，恢复nerd身材，自述
说不稀罕那肌肉。牛人。
我觉得这片是Norton最出彩的角色，比之前拿奖的primal fear
里的Arron和后来fight club都精彩，从开始时候眼睛精光暴射
满心仇恨的样子到出狱以后内敛无奈走路都溜边儿的样子，判若两人。
故事本身一般，政治正确得太明显，做个牢就能让他完全变个人有点
牵强，只有Norton的表演相当提气。当年奥斯卡提名好像。

虽然是第二大宗教，Catholic也是被歧视对象。表面上是宗教问题，但是更深层的是种
族或者亚种族歧视。因为Catholic主要是Italian, Irish, Polish等等。 Italian被形
容成都是gangster, Irish被形容成都是alcoholic或者gangster，Polish被形容成
ruthless。
还有地域歧视，背后也有很多种族成分，但是就比较subtle。比如骂Boston，隐含骂
Irish的意思，比如Kennedy，甚至Kerry，虽然Kerry不是Irish。骂人New York，隐含
骂犹太人的意思，比如the west wing里面有一集，一个conservative的religious
