It has been required for all Illinois High School Students since 2001.

ele. school: Winkelman 8/10， this school is not too bad, it wass a blue
ribbon before.
middle school goes to Field school in northbrook,which is excellent, 10/10
High school: glenbrook south is good enough ( although not good as glenbrook
north/deerfield...) 10/10.
Best school district in Glenview is the east area going to New Trier.
Then 30 is good too, going to willowbrrok and maple school.

芝北有好几条火车通芝加哥, 还有94, 41, 和好多小道, 加上Depaul, Loyola,
Northwestern
,Lake Forest大学, 几个大药厂, 和几个大公司的总部, 中产阶级比较集中. 西面
也有几个好城市, 而且比北边的面积更大, 人口多, 交通似乎比较拥挤, 房价和税比
较底. 各有各的好处, 最好你开车转一下, 找一下感觉, 多问问同事.

STATION好远啊，根本不是倒数第一站。椅子虽然舒服，但是是绿色和蓝色的
而且最后男女猪出站就到千XI公园，站口是RANDOLPH，是往南边开的线，不到UNION
STATION的

10分的高中不一定有10分的初中，
比如：
downers grove north high, 10/10, but only one middle school: Herrick is 8/10
glenbrook south in glenview, 10/10, the best middle school is Springman, 9/
10.
我觉得应该看一下历史排名，这个8/9/10 分其实是有点浮动的。
总之， 应该尽量在好高中里挑好的小学和初中。 |

的size，这个 Glenbrook North High （～2100人）比较起来其实是好过Stevenson （
>4000) and Naperville 的 |

负担得起那里的房子，选那当然好了。不过话说回来，能负担得起那的房的人，肯定也
能负担得起HINSDALE CENTRAL和NEW TIER。
STEVONSON，NAPERVILLE是一般工薪族的选择。 |

30th in IL,
which is good.
But there are so many school districts in glenview. so it is very mixed.
30/225 is the best,willowbrook and maple school are very good, willowbrook
is like a private school, houses in this disctrict are very expensive.
31/255 is the second best, henkelman is ok, field school in northbrook is
excellent.
34/225 is ok.there are lots of kids on free lunch for that school district.

我个人觉得：离downtown比较近，治安比较好，生活比较方便的路段有
bedford street
stawberry hill
glenbrook
grove street
呵呵，其他地方就不是太熟了，以上介绍的地区到市中心都在walking distance以内（
大概15分钟以内吧~~） |

$200k will not find any problem living in Stamford. Daycare is around $1300
-1500 for toddler. Infant will be more, pre-school less.
Rental is around $1500-2300 per month for 1-2br apartments. Greenwich rental
is at least as much as Stamford, if not more.
Best housing market is Westover and North Stamford, followed by Newfield,
Turn of River, Shippan. Try to avoid buying in Glenbrook, Cove, Sprindale
and downtown area.

I moved from Boston to Stamford about 3 months ago. Hehe.
I end up rented a town house on Glenbrook road (at the corner of Hope street
) from a private owner.
I think craigslist is the best place to find apartments. Search for
apartment renting in fairfield county.
For the apartments on CTBestAPTs.com, you can try Mogan Manors. "The Town
House" is very bad, do not try that.
Unfortunately, there are not many Chinese living in Stamford area. If you

车。
好处是你可以住的离火车站很近，就算要开车的话，parking是$3/day，而且挨着站台
。（想象一下从stamford停车场走到站台上要花几分钟吧。）周末的时候还免费哦。
peak time的时候也都是express train，比从stamford上车多花5分钟吧。
当然坏处是如果你下班晚，那就一定要转车，而且晚上要一个小时才一班。 |
