No... he is not offside as long as he does not benefit from his position
from the directly impact of the pass.
One example, if someone shoot the ball, the guy who is in the offside
position but not in the route of the ball is not offside; but he is if the
ball is blocked by the goalkeeper directly to him since he benefits directly
from the the position.
In this case, when the other guy caught the ball, the offside scenario is
reset |
