Chicago Public Schools 的每个学校可申请引入 10 个小时的文化活动。
GoMath Academy 的围棋也成为了其中一个项目。
今天給CPS的20多名中文老师作了“中华文化进课堂”的workshop
workshop的标题就是 "Weiqi Program, By Teachers For Teachers"
从现场讲座后老师反馈和提问的热烈程度，我知道老师们都非常感兴趣。
CPS 已经有70个学校开设了中文课，
就算20个学校选围棋进课堂，一个学校算 150 人
意味着明年 GoMath Academy 将可能在 CPS这个项目上給3000个美国学生普及围棋。 |

我的围棋数学 Proposal 已经提交給了第63届IL数学老师年会的组委会。
3月底/4月初可以得到结果。
如果批准，今年10月中旬将正式給美国IL全州的数学老师介绍围棋数学。
会议地点在 Peoria，IL。
这个地方很有名，美国文化里面有个俗语——"Will it play in Peoria?"，
就是说（美国的）新事物要先放到 Peoria 看看效果。
（翻成中文，大致是——不管骡子是马，都得先拉到 Peoria 试一试。）

Today, one 8th grade Math teacher told me that she has requested "Hikaru No
Go" DVD for the school library and now all disks have arrived. She also told
me that she will show it to her students in the future. It's so great that
a new Math teacher will promote Go game. That's the vision and mission of

我自己认识的人，有聪明的人学习好棋下得也不错。但是更多认识的是执迷于下棋耽误
学习的。

后来发现了围棋和数学的天然联系，
所以把围棋和数学结合到一起，这样就更能好进入学校，充分发挥围棋的数学教育功能。
沉迷的问题，和围棋没什么特别关系吧。不管沉迷在什么，对健康对学习对生活都不好。 |

仅仅因为围棋变化多？恕我孤陋寡闻，在中国呆了30年，怎么从没听说把围棋和数学联
系起来的说法？
美国人推广CHESS也没有说什么数学吧？纯粹就是作为爱好推广。
我觉得，你把围棋和数学联系在一起，会把很多本来喜欢玩的小孩给吓跑了。
本来喜欢下棋的人就是以男孩为主，因为男孩天生爱玩，爱挑战。但是，很多孩子不是
那么“爱数学"的。

身就是一种很底层的游戏，上层建筑很少，接近于一种基于棋盘拓扑的逻辑分析。所以
说和数学有关也说得通。

这个星期六我去 IL 数学老师年会展示，算是在教育学术界的正式 debut 。
这些就是近几年的事情，而且是在美国做的，所以你在中国30年不知道很正常。
数学能力有天生的部分，美国的小孩子和中国小孩子一样。
但是美国的教育体制、外加讲英语，把孩子的数感、数学能力搞坏了。
所以发展到现在大孩子一听说数学脑袋就大。
这是美国社会的悲哀。围棋数学有机会改变这一切。 |
