读读关于他的文章，算是个纪念。
决大多数的 performer，逃不出 virtuoso 的范畴。这对于有 intellectual
倾向的听众来说，确实有点遗憾。于是 Gould 成为唯一的安慰。
最近一期的New York Review of Books 上有一篇 Michael Kimmelman 的书评
'Lone Star'，讲的是他的新传记'Wonderous Strange'。Kimmelman 略带讽刺
但是很有见的地指出 Gould 的'utterly Romantic approach to interpretation'
和他适时的拥抱‘时代精神’，尽管他自己强调'I sought to challenge the
zeitgeist'。
Terry Teachout 两年前的一篇文章也很不错。看得出是出自崇拜者之手。文中

渡渡鸟，或作嘟嘟鸟（Dodo），拉丁学名：Raphus cucullatus又称毛里求斯渡渡鸟、
愚鸠、孤鸽，是仅产于印度洋毛里求斯岛上一种不会飞的鸟。这种鸟在被人类发现后仅
仅176年的时间里，便由于人类的捕杀和人类活动的影响彻底绝灭，堪称是除恐龙之外
最著名的已灭绝动物之一。也是毛里求斯唯一被定为国鸟的已灭绝鸟类。
牛津大学自然史博物馆（Oxford University Museum of Natural History）中，曾经
陈列有渡渡鸟最后一个完整的填充标本（标本号OUM 11605），可惜在1755年由于腐烂

Bach playing. I think the recent release of Glenn Gould Anniversary Edition is
much better than before, really nice and special package, and cheaper with
more materials. ( For example, now French suite is just one CD, rather than
two in the past.)
I got his playing of Mozart, definitely Gould style, you will never mistake it
for anyone else. Although I am afraid his rendition of Mozart may go far away

这些巴赫的
爱好者。听了以后，顿觉诚惶诚恐。考虑到Soprano的功力，便提前一直再暗地里
准备：一旦见到Soprano的大作，我该如何反驳。
有个卖D版古典CD的哥们认识很多音乐爱好者，包括我。他跟我说，他做过一个统
计，在喜欢巴赫音乐的人中，理工科毕业的爱好者的比例要远远多于学文科的。
而对于李斯特和瓦格纳，这个比例正好反过来。我是这么来理解这个统计现象的：
1. 中国教育只把学生分为文理两大类。
2. 他们爱好音乐的程度基本上是一致的。
3. 音乐爱好者缺钱的程度基本上也一致。
4. 他们找到我那个卖D版音乐的哥们几率是基本一致的。
5. 理科学生受自然科学训练多年，文科学生受社会科学训练多年
6. 自然科学侧重公式定律，即自然的秩序。社会科学侧重诗词小说，即人类的情感
7. 人类总是喜欢能引起自身共鸣的东西
所以，巴赫的音乐中有更多的秩序美。证毕。
就我个人而言，一开始并没有觉得巴赫的音乐如何。是维瓦尔第的“四季”推倒了我

Exaptation（预适应或者前适应）。预适应指的是性状的适应性功能在进化过程中发生
了改变。一个性状由于具有功能A而被固定了下来，性状同时具有的功能B一开始并不具
有适应上的优势，随着环境的继续改变，功能B使得该性状能够适应新的环境。那么具
有功能B对于该性状来说就是一种预适应。最好的例子是鸟类的羽毛的进化。鸟类的羽
毛一开始只是起到保温的作用，后来使得鸟类能够飞翔。还有鱼类的鳔是用于调节鱼在
水中的浮力的，后来进化成用于呼吸的肺。假如我们不知道羽毛的飞翔功能只是一种预

巴赫的二、三部创意曲
巴赫的音乐，给人以沉思和哲理的东西，就听过的而言，目前只是觉得他的
声乐作品、平均律和无伴奏小提中的“恰空”，再是一些theme and variations
的东西比较突出，其它的都不是很明显。像这些大量的键盘乐，尤其是二、三声
部的创意曲，我只是把它当作一种游戏来听；听那几个声部，翻来覆去地交替，
发展，变化。
以前我总是以为Gould的巴赫是在模仿的古钢琴的音色，极其简短有力的触
键，借此去挖掘音乐中的那个时代的感觉和意境。而现在我不这么看了。其实
Gould的巴赫根本就不是本真的。他只能说是更有个性，以他自己的方式去诠释
巴赫的音乐。他所要挖掘和表达的是巴赫的什么？不是那个时代的特征，而是
在借助巴赫的音乐来表达自己的思想与理念。
当艺术作品创作出来时，它已经有了自己独特的生命力；已不再仅仅依附
于原作者的原始意图。20C更是如此，艺术不再依附于对某一个观念或物体的描
绘，而是创造一个与真实世界相对的另一个客体，投入于建设一个全新的人为

发帖数: 5892 | 38 多伦多信息港(记者彭琳报道)：周五中午左右，位于Ryerson University大学附近Gould St.街上的一幢大楼的墙壁突然坍塌，目前Yonge St.街路段(从Dundas St.街到Gerrard St.街)仍然关闭。
当时，大楼(三层高)第二层的砖砸向下面的人行道。据悉，有2人受轻伤，在现场得到治疗。还有2名步行女子在墙壁砸下前跑出危险区。
多伦多警察中士Jim Gibson称，他们还不知道Yonge St.要关闭多长时间，“要等到一切都处理好，等到确保Gould St.街对公众无危害性后”。
事故发生当天的大部分时间，Ryerson University大学校园也被部分关闭。
目前尚没有人员重伤报告，搜救犬没有发现有人员被埋在砖下。

图为多市的溅水池已全面开放。
市府表示，由昨日开始市内的溅水池(splash pads)已全面开放、部分户外泳池在下课后和周末开放，而跋水池(wading pools)则在本月30日全面开放。这些供市民嬉水的消闲处都是免费。
市府并指出，若天气状况许可，市内合共12个户外公众泳池，由昨日起会在下课以后和周末开放，另外的58个户外公众泳池则会由下周六(25日)起部分时间开放。
至于市内所有户外公众泳池，将会由本月30日起全面开放，直至9月4日(周日)为止。
昨天起下课后和在周末开放的部分公众泳池包括：
