亲口告诉我一遍。。
1）她姐否认孩子之事，2）她姐说以前是grace不让他们来探亲3）她们也不想来了，4
）她的父母现在在医院需要照顾还不知道女儿已经走了，她姐说，看能瞒多久就多久；
5）已经接受我的帮助去办旅行签证了6）我还offer她，会去接机和当翻译。。。7）她
姐说，去逝之前2-3夭还和她有联系，她在等前夫消息。。grace有留财产给她父母，她
和她前夫办了跑步协会的网站，以前给我看过，现在我忘了。。但是若是能找到，我可
以识别。。就可以找到她老公。。关键问题是：我是外人，最近2年连进入她的朋友圈

如题, OPT是11号过期的, H1B申请在过期前一天寄给USCIS,(是cap-exempt的).我是在9
号就问学校说要一个新的I-20来cover OPT到H1B生效前的gap,但是学校ISSS小秘今天才
处理我的I-20,告诉我说不能延期,还说我现在是grace period了,不能工作了....是她
不懂还是我不懂? 咋办?

有开始，grace period就开始了。那天又听人说，是以I-20为准。
比如说如果我5月答辩结束交了论文，但我的I-20到8月才到期，万一之前没找到工作，
移民局不会查你哪天答辩，而是以I-20到期时间为准，可以认为是8月才结束学业，然
后才算grace period的开始。

Here is my situation. My institution is preparing H1-B application for me,
but they told me that the prevailing wage search won't come back until next
month from the Department of Labor, which means that they can't file my H1-B
application until next month. Unfortunately, my OPT will expire the end of
May, so I will have to use my grace period while waiting for my H1-B
approval. I'm afraid that my H1-B won't get approved before my grace period
expire.

EAD card. However, be sure to file your application within 60 (maybe 30?
but I was told 60 days) days from graduation date.
After you get OPT approved, the 60 day grace period (out of job status)

首先这事怪我,因为生孩子master毕业,没试着找工作,申请了另外一个系明年春季,正式
offer要11月初才能下来,一直犹豫要用OPT还是转F2,所以拖到今天才去ISS递交申请才
知道grace period到期,一直误解为申请可以在grace period期间任何一天提交都可以,
白痴一个.
有经验的看看我这个情况怎么办好呢,直接回国然后再重新F1签过来的话,有这个过期记
录是不是影响签证啊?
如果不回国有别的方式可以保持合法身份到明年春季吗?毕竟孩子小,带回国也挺折腾:( |
