I agree with you, as far as in a tolerate manner. SAS only has the practical exam selling on its website.
For experienced SAS programmer, certificate is nothing. All people I knew gradauted couple years ago and located the job even had no information on this kind of exam. Now it seems getting hot. Negative or postive to our Chinese credit probably will be veritifed later, specially for the new gradaute. |

survey carried out on life science PhDs. It says: 10 years after their
gradaution (PhD), 20% have left their original fields, 20% were still
Postdocs. so the other 60% had decent jobs, working in either academia
or instury, leading lives with acceptable qualities.
Up to you to judge this number. In my opinion, it's not thAT bad.
I guess comparing Bio with CS/EE, the biggest problem is: you cannot

如果是将来随便找个工作的话那就去davis好了，距离湾区近气候好。

I have a friend working in Citi group for the same job.
My friend surely didn't work so hard as him.
He had a lot of fun in his college and gradaute school and still
end up in Citi group as an investament banker.
So I don't know what is the worth of all those striggle. |

This is NO LONGER true. Only in certain states are still true but may not be
valid in the future.
No scholarships for foreigners, only tuition loan.
You need to take PCAT in order to apply for it, you cannot directly transfer
from a gradaute program into a professional program. |

one thing i can suggest
you probably can use your friend's address in TX or CA on resume.
people probably won't pay fly tickets, let alone relocation fee for fresh MS
for this time being.
If you are thought as a local player, they probably won't mind give you a
chance. Then buy a southwest cheap ticket, and get your job done.
However, it is really a case by case issue. I know at least two guys
physically move to california after gradaution begging for a job, and won't
get one
