人移民里的比例太小太小。
不过真断了技术移民的路，对于美国这个国家的将来是影响很坏，技术移民犯罪率低还
老实工作纳税，都发卡留下来对国家一点儿坏处都没有。
以后应该多提有美国学位的都发卡留下来，，不要总纠结在华人身上。抽签绿卡这种脑
残的东西早该取消。

我的个性是比较独立强势的一种，现在独身一人在国外，面临找工作的压力，但是不愿
意去委身求别人办事，第一是感觉不好意思，第二也是担心怕被别人拒绝，但是我现在
已经毕业3个月了，还是没有工作，生活都快要位置不下去了，现在跟着急，不知道要
怎么办，但是每次写邮件想要找人帮忙引荐工作的时候 ，一晚上也写不出来几个字，
所以现在很困扰啊。
然后现在的我实在走投无路了，无奈就请教了上学时期的前辈问我应该怎么做才好，前
辈想了想这样开导我的：
其实，我们在工作和生活中都要遇见这样的人活着事，刚刚开始的时候，我也是跟你一
样，害怕被别人拒绝，但是后来鼓起勇气去尝试的时候，其实才发现并没有什么。
现在我们所受到的拒绝大约分成两种，一种是当面的拒绝，也可以说是真心直白的拒绝

发帖数: 700 | 49 以前一直用支票支付二房东同屋房租，前几天他突然说起来以前别人都是用银行账户直
接转账给他的。问题是他用的是一个小credit union的支票账户，转账给他还要花额外
转账费。其实在他办公的地方就有那个credit union的ATM机，存支票很方便。如果我
同样开那个credit union的账户，还得从我现在的支票账户转账，还得付手续费。
这几天他又提起既然我不申请那个，那他就去开一个我用的银行（citibank, BOA之类
的大银行）的账户。但是我觉得他开这个账户应该不仅仅是为了接受我的转账，因为大
银行支票账户如果没有一定存款余额，或者是工资的direct deposit，是需要有每月的
服务费的。以他的性格，应该不会去做这样亏本的事。
现在的情况就是他一再强调，我是个trouble maker，是他在为我do a favor，我需要
表示appreciation，show my gratitude to him。。。。但是我觉得支票支付是在美国
广泛接受的方式，而且离他办公室几步之遥（literally)就有一个他credit union的
ATM机，我并不觉得我制造了很多 |
