穆斯林的餐馆吃牛肉面好了。
在网上一查，正好费尔法克斯县南部一个城市有清真中国餐馆，不但有牛肉面，而且是
自助餐，网上菜单写着中午价格在2:30pm之前才8.99美元。我第二天1：30pm一去，果
然很干净，有十几个菜式可以任选。当时侍者问我要什么饮料，我知道很多餐馆的茶和
咖啡要另外收费，就只要了白水。等我吃饱了要侍者给我账单，我大吃一惊，发现上面

得服务满意也可以给。
国人不要把小费当作是一种规定，觉得必须给就勉为其难给，不需要给就尽量不给能省
则省。
在美国小费是种文化，而不是法律(当然不排除有些地方收mandatory gratuity）
美国人觉得服务好，喜欢服务生，会发自内心的给小费以示感谢，也是种礼貌性的回报。
我们大可不必觉得给小费就是多付的钱，觉得亏了，身上掉块肉似的。 |

这东西属于香港各大学的小人之心，怕你合同没完就跑了，所以用个15%锁住你
现在新的Faculty未必有这个，薪水也不是固定的了，学校可以根据情况决定给新人的
工资，从3万/月-5万/月不等，房贴可能有，也可能没有

住学校的房子，副教授以上的补助都是2万／月，而不是1.2万，这个好像是政府规定的
，都一个价，封顶2.1万左右。
此外，孩子上学很麻烦，不是个钱多少的问题，就是麻烦。。。

2. Terms of Appointment: 3-year fixed term gratuity-bearing contract
3. Contract Period/Duration of Appointment: Your appointment shall become
effective from 27 February 2017 to 30 June 2020 inclusive of leave.
后面就一些salary，benifit，housing allowance之类的，都没有说tenure-track的问
题呢。。我现在也怀疑不知道有没有什么问题。。。。不过回过头来想，应该默认是
tenure-track的offer吧，因为onsite 的时候有问拿tenure的条件。。。。 |

在机场外suppershuttle的亭子里一个老墨，问了我地址后给我开了张boarding pass，

Most of the restaurants require at least minimum purchase of $45. Valid Sun-

So you are still paying at least $20+$45*0.18+$2 = $30 for the dinner.
