Greenspan: No irrational exuberance, stocks undervalued
Alan Greenspan said investors don't have to worry about irrational
exuberance driving the current stock runup
NEW YORK (CNNMoney)
Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said that even with record-
high stock prices, investors don't need to worry about "irrational
exuberance" this time.
In fact, his current view is that stocks are still "significantly

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan says he
thinks the economy is having a modest recovery, but right now there's a "
pause" in that recovery, so it feels like a "quasi-recession."
Greenspan says long-term unemployment is pulling the economy apart even
though large banks are doing much better and large companies are in
excellent shape.
Greenspan predicts that unemployment will remain where it is, hovering
around 9.5 percent, for the rest of the year.

所共知的话是,“笨蛋!谁当总统有什么关系?只要美联储主席还是greenspan!”;
赶上了好时候,是在恰当的时间当了总统;

and also powered by the Fed, which had been lowering rates and juicing the
economy big time over that period. Russia defaulting? Lower rates. Mexico
debt crisis? Lower rates. Emerging markets currency crisis? Lower rates.
LTCM going down? Lower rates. Y2K glitches possible? Lower rates.
