直接geohash的话,怎么快速找出5mile之内的其他geohash key?
我觉得可以把map按照经纬坐标划为很多grids
每个grid用左上角+右下角坐标当key,value是在这个grid里的POI list
对一个给定的位置,可以很快算出与5mile为半径的圆重合的grids
然后把这些grids的POI读出来,按距离排一下,把超过5mile的过滤掉
至于这个grid的granularity,就是需要讨论的细节了

最近比较focus on money management,尤其是position sizing。
这里绝大部分都是跟我一样的beginner,基本上很看重入点,什么时候买最好。我转到
期货和外汇以后在这上面下了挺大的功夫,并没有达到原先预想的效果(包括SVM,
Linear,Non-Linear,Wavelets,HONN, Kalman Filter,这些可能以后会有一定的突
破,但现有的概念和理论,实践起来的效果并不会提高多少,甚至没有提高,所以投入
产出比不佳),加上我一年多几千次浅显的交易经验给我的感觉是,入点远没有想象的
重要。50%的正确率够不够?我感觉远大于盈利的需求。

说一下我怎么做的antialiase。 先把图形计算好,比最后的图像多出宽三列高三行。
图形是一个浮点数的点阵。 两个相邻的点之间的距离是一个单位。 然后用三次方程插
值。每个插值要用图形中4X4的值来计算。 在四个点组成的方格中均匀插入5X5=25个点
(单核机)或7X7=49个点(多核机),给每个插值赋予颜色,最后把一个方格中所有的
颜色平均,就是一个像素的颜色。
由于一组插值用的是同一套三次方程系数,所以写了一个class来做。 其实是一个
template。 做插值时,有两个套着的循环,分别在X方向移动和Y方向移动。 内循环是
在Y方向从上往下移动,这样每次移动一步,只需要计算最后一列的三次方程系数。下
边是我写的Cubic Interpolator. 是一个recursive template。For bicubic
interpolation, N = 2. 所有的重复计算都尽可能的避免了。 这个templete的计算
速度,在N==2时,是单独bicubic interpolation的速度的三倍。

i don't work for any of the smart grid companies, although i do have my
opinion in terms of which ones are likely to win.
i'm not a big fan of the cleantech hype either. poor deployment of capital
and resources potentially create a bubble. if it happens and such bubble
busts, both equity and credit markets will freeze even for good companies.
i disagree that the "overheating" issue led to the booming of smart grid.

你楼上的意思是说访问过的grid就不能在访问了,所以每个grid就被使用一次。你的理
解可能是从每个grid向四个方向递归访问,如果不考虑访问过的不再访问,那确实是4^
N。但是你楼上使用了剪枝,所以时间复杂度会下降,所以每个grid最多被用一次,所
以“对每个起始点来说,顶多遍历整个range每个点一次“。你如果不问这个问题我也
意识不到剪枝能把复杂度从指数降到多项式。

设计得好像是从NStar发给他们顾客的样子,有点以假乱真的效果。
至于为什么他们要宣传一个更便宜的发电费,这个和麻省最近的Enegy Deregulation政
策有关。理解不对的地方欢迎大家指正。
按照我的考古, 这个行业的利润是被输电寡头National Grid, NSTAR 垄断了。 这2个
公司只是负责输送和服务,卖给我们这些retail直接用户。他们自己也发电的那部分business因为Deregulation被迫卖掉。 Enegy Deregulation政策allow其他风力发电厂,太阳能发电厂,烧煤发电厂的产出在市场上自由拍卖竞价。
也就是说National Grid, NSTAR 只能买他们的服务了。 他们是那种铺线offer输送服务的公司,由于他们花了大钱投资输送服务Infrastructure, 没有后来者愿意花这么多钱重复投资在这些设施上面, 因此这几个先头公司就便成“自然垄断”寡头。 他们收手中掌握了这些直接到达用户家里的设施,这使他们独具了倒卖各种energy sup... 阅读全帖

我在不久前和搞核电的工程师聊过,他说如果人们同意继续核电,他们会有饭吃。如果
人们不同意,那么结束运行和拆除核电设施也要持续几十年,足够核电工程师吃得饱饱
的,核电行业怎么样都不会挨饿。
你再 google 一下有多少公司在进军 smart grid,市场份额才多大?多数人都在炒作
概念,但是多数国家电能的主力依然是传统电力公司。smart grid 的应用还主要在
distribution network 阶段,虽然 transmission grid 也在引用 smart grid,但是
那主要是大公司垄断,占据利润大头。

借机问一个问题。我有一个较大的二维矩阵,是(x,y)坐标矩阵,float type,x,y都没
有规则顺序。我再建一个x,y mesh grid的矩阵,间距是均匀的或有一定规律比如线性
增加等,要把前面那个乱的(x,y)矩阵放入grid里,会有多个(x,y)落在同一个grid的情
况,把每个grid中有的(x,y)在原矩阵中的行列index记录下来。其实就是个二维monte
carlo的东西。我现在也是用loop硬来,目前用matlab,用C肯定快一些。数组也不是特
别大,run一次大概几分钟时间,但我要做很多次这个事情,想请教大家更好的方法。

I am sorry that the original post is misleading. Please see the detailed description of the problem below.
They are a lot of floating point calculation in the code.
Basically, i am doing an interpolation from a position to the
closest grid point. It is a 1d problem.
The domain is from (-L, L) and N is the number of grid point at a half
domain.
The grid size is dv, where dv = L/N; The grid is cell centered (-0.5
in the code below).
L, dv are declared to be double type and N to be integer type.
