I have a racket that has a customized handle, which I have to
hold from one side. It feels really back if I flip it. So I have
to remember to hit the ball on the same side... Thus my question. |

You still can hit flat with a semi-western grip. The way you hit matters.
1) if you hit through more, your shot will be more flat
2) if you brush up more, your shot have more top spin

With semi-western grip:
Hit more horizontal (hit through) swing path to hit more flat;
Hit more vertical swing path (low to high) to have more topspin.
The key to hit through more is to contact ball at the front while many
amateur players contact ball at side due to hitting late. |

rackets, larger grips sizes are easier to get for cheaper. 4 1/4 is way
overpriced because too many people are copying Nadal. |
