a shootout in a Malden neighborhood that appears to be an attempted robbery.
Police tell the Malden Evening News they responded to Salem Street just
after midnight on Tuesday and found two men, one on top of the other, in
front of a home suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. One man
was dead and the other was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

(CNN) -- Nine people died in a mass shooting Tuesday at a workplace in
Manchester, Connecticut, according to a police official close to the
investigation.
That number includes the shooter. He died at the scene of a gunshot wound,

one of a pair of robbers Sunday night, police said.
Allen Dixon, 21, of Bassick Avenue, who police said robbed the restaurant at

avenues from a single gunshot wound to the upper torso. A man who police
