中国体操队运动员应邀参加2012年3月2日至3月4日在休斯顿举行的2012年国际体操邀请
赛。这是中国国家队体操运动员继2007年首次参赛囊括几乎所有奖项前三名后再次来休
斯顿参赛。比赛将于3月2 至4日三天在休斯顿市中心 布朗会议中心举行George Brown
Convention Center)。
具体买票事宜如下:
比赛时间 中国体操队参赛时间
Friday 3/2 周五 下午5点 开幕式 (之后举行男女团体赛)
Saturday 3/3 周六 下午 5点半 开始(男女个人全能及单项比赛)


主办单位: Houston Gymnastics Club 休斯顿体操俱乐部

娃3岁4个月了,想周末找ballet或者gymnastics班玩玩,不知道医学院附近有没有推荐的?
以前在南加weekday社区大学有免费亲子班,不知道houston有没有类似课程。因为好一点的daycare都需要排队,所以想在排到之前带她去这样的地方参加点社会活动。
另外如果附近有相同年龄的娃,大家可以一起玩,请站内联系,邮编77025。要是有类似妈妈群这样的组织,请引荐。

我不明白你说的after school program 指得是什么?我说过YMCA就在隔壁,如果你想
找课后托管的,YMCA就行。如果你指地课后的兴趣班,有好多呀,lego robotic,
karate, fencing, art, gymnastic,mad science, orchestra等,这些活动每个
semester稍微有些变化。他家chess非常强,所以还有chess class and club,够孩子
忙得了。
印度人确实多,也很积极,其次是中国人,黑人墨墨白人都少。

I made a conscientious effort to speak only Chinese to my daughter at home.
However things are not as easy as you said. We do not have a Chinese-
speaking environment at home (my husband only speaks English). It was easier
for me to speak Chinese before my daughter started talking. Now she is 25-
month old and has quickly picked up English from the daycare and her dad. I
am out-numbered by the English speakers in her life. She starts showing

这问题都别激动。
风水轮流转,听说美国50年代羽球还挺盛行的,所以没准儿再50年就又该它了。
再说国内也一样,80年代羽球还是个贵族运动呢,谁有只yy那都是宝贝一样,这儿说话
的有几个是打小儿场地里打出来的?然后生活水平提高,一两千一只yy拍子也都不算事
儿了,球场也多了。但再发达下去,你敢说不走美国的路,变的什么棒球成了最大的大
众运动?现在有钱人都以打golf为荣,以后没准儿羽球就是穷人运动,中产都不好意思
打。还真别说这是抬杠,你就说体操吧,是不是大多数一听,第一反应就是,那是个苦
运动,肯定都是穷人家孩子练的?其实你看美国,好些小娃娃小时候就去参加个什么
gymnastics,那个拿冠军的姑娘也不是家里都是苦孩子,所以,国人有一天要是扁羽球
像现在国足一样,谁还有脸送孩子去打球?

篮球我是外行,但我想所有对抗性运动的基本道理都是一样的。运动场的performance
提高,离不开身体素质训练,包括力量,爆发力,耐力,平衡力等等,而且这些能力还
必须在对抗的情况下能表现出来。我对训练的几点心得
1。高强度训练, 但要适可而止。 多做HIIT
2。训练中身体work as a unit,
3。core strength 及其重要
4。一定要读理论,了解身体

Actually I am looking forward to be skinny, for running and biking. A real
runner and serious cyclist should be skinny in a healthy way.
I used to be quite muscular since my teenage from the practice of gymnastic,
but now I don't really care about any muscle that won't
contribute to running or cycling.

You are talking about the six packs on the belly (useless for cycling but
maybe useful for running) and the two on the chest. One of the reasons
Armstrong dominated cycling after surviving cancer is that he lost a lot of
useless muscles (weight) he possessed when he was a triathlete but retained
the power.

ITBS的发病原因有三大类:
Training habits, Abnormalities in leg/feet anatomy and Muscle imbalance.
由此,肌肉弱造成的不平衡只是一部分的原因。

18 岁以前练weights 不好。荷尔蒙系统还不行。
但是open fields sports 很有好处.
tennis, golf, baseball, gymnasts, soccer, basketball, etc.
joint mobility and flexibility, cordination
都是在这个阶段打基础。
体操和举重苗子都选 矮个因为有优势。
体操和举重 没有导致矮个

manually: only use weights, building muscle is almost the only goal
naturally: build muscle through sports like gymnasts, diver etc.
the first one will build muscle like rubbers, the latter is
from naturally growth.
there are 2 extreme, depends on how much percentages.

其实gymnastic training对受过伤的也要好处,比如有人颈椎有毛病做不了overhead
press, 但是打倒立同样可以锻炼肩部力量,同时对颈椎的负重小很多。
主要还是一个循序渐进的过程,还要有训练方法,这些youtube上的tutorial太多了,呵呵。
那天看了一下陈一冰,二头肌快赶上头那么大了。。。

This is a bit arrogant. By your logic, I would set the threshold as military
press own body weight.
There are tons of sport specific exercises that produce strength gain, and
they might be good for cross training. But it doesn't mean simple pull/push
with weights can be replaced if the goal is muscle/strength gain. For that,
bodyweight is not enough in many big muscle groups workouts.

only be as strong as your own weight because the maximum weight you will be
dealing with is your own body weight. But the human body is like a
complicated machine. Our muscles don't see "weight", but rather

个guest video就是说怎么获得gymnastic body的。
我以前比较排斥体操的原因是觉得体操有太多时间花在core这种没有什么视觉效果的训

I looked up on bouldering grades and rock climbers have tremendous pulling
strength and grip strength.
You can build beyond human strength by using leverage in holding static
positions on top of other training, this is the reason why gymnasts have
huge muscles and enormous body weight to strength ratio.

such as Dicks, Sports Authority etc, or online.
I wouldn't use baby power as it has the opposite effect of chalk.
