WORCESTER — A judge approved a $7 million settlement this afternoon in a
medical malpractice case involving the birth of a child with a rare genetic
defect.
In their 2008 lawsuit against two doctors, a nurse practitioner and a

八年前的这个季节，从国内来到美国。来美前，博士毕业后在一研究所工作了近5年。
期间主持完成了自己的第一个NSFC课题。由于不喜欢那里的小环境，离开那里后到西北
一大学工作。幸运的是，在那里又拿到了第二个NSFC课题，加上省部和学校的资助，支
起了还算小有起色的一摊子。虽然那的科研条件比原单位差一些，但一个人在那干了近
三年的时间，教书、带研究生、作科研，每天忙碌着，干着自己愿意干的事，少了原单
位的勾心斗角，而且在学生面前第一次觉得自己还是个有用之人，所以也很快乐。无奈
的是，老婆不喜欢那个地方，不肯搬过去。那时，老婆家人从一个朋友处得知美国这边
一大学实验室想找一个人。她觉得如果到美国比到中国的西北好多了，所以热情很高，
极力动员我试一试。但我当时干得还比较开心，加上要过来接那工作等于转了一个完全

这位律师基本上是从诉讼双方的公开的简单声名中臆造了一个事件的前后经过。这个臆
造的过程经不起推敲。这位律师的素质和专业水平之低实在让人惊叹。大概是在大陆学
习的法律，把铲国法律体系中的构陷发挥得淋漓尽致。
“八年薄厚做为医学薄厚，不可能家有大龄产妇还不知道羊水穿刺。当初他自己主动给妻
子做翻译，也是他们自己的决定不做羊水穿刺。后来孩子出问题了，他们说是医院不配
翻译，硬说是医院没解释清楚的错。这是要人品低下到一定程度才做得出来的事。八年
薄厚能赢官司是因为他和他妻子在法庭撒谎。这两个事实摆在这，我就无法相信八年薄
厚写的那些煽情文字。”
从公开的资料看，八哥八嫂否认了医生们曾经给了他们羊穿的选择。一个妇产科医生说
，在一次病人就诊时，医院给八嫂提供羊穿选择，而八嫂拒绝了。这样基本就是各说各

其實你和他兩個都是從新聞中得出結論，只不過你認為自己的是嚴謹推論，而對方就是
“臆造”。
ok，如果你指責那位律師是臆造，不等於說“不能依靠新闻推断”。是我未能理解你這
句話的深刻含義。

来，现在不辞辛劳地买买提写长文trash自己老婆，美化自己成伟大父亲。
现在终于不需要利用老婆不会英语打官司了。
我看薄厚是准备离婚，可4m的钱在小孩的trust里，而且钱名义上是发给他老婆的，后
来买了一栋房子。所以把自己宣传成伟大父亲，老婆是精神病，官司都是自己英勇地打

没签WAVIER的话不会上法庭的，医院直接赔钱就是了，当事的医生也得被FIRE
医疗上的文件那有那么容易出多语言的版本，万一翻译错了不是被告的死死的。
手术和麻醉的CONSENT我只见过西班牙语的和葡萄牙语的，中文的从来没见过。

只能說第一被告的律師實在不如原告律師Halstrom, 這位Halstrom非常shark，在宣揚
自己光輝事跡時，截取一段對話來踩對手...

，而戰術失誤更少的一方贏得戰爭。Halstrom無疑技高一籌，在氣勢和技巧上壓倒

环境没有丝毫的敏感。或许在他们头脑中，这里的堕胎服务如天朝一般快捷方便，遍布
大街小巷。他们提起羊穿洋溢着无限的自豪：高龄产妇提供羊穿是必须的！
他们忘记了美国社会很大程度上是个基督教国家。产前胎儿的筛检是一个颇有争议的话
题。即使是美国妇产医生协会这样一个专业组织，在其最新的产前筛检指导中（2007）
，对羊穿推荐也取消了年龄因素，而改为由前期的血检结果决定。这个指导有科学依据
，但也不好说受没受到外界的压力。
羊穿是一个不言而喻对胎儿有潜在危险的检测。且不说0.5-1%的流产率，这个检测的唯
一用处大概就是在胎儿被检测出潜在缺陷时终止妊娠。许多美国妈妈给八嫂写信往往表
达看似矛盾的观点。一方面她们表达对八嫂女儿的关心，表达出提供帮助的愿望；另一
方面她们委婉地表达不支持八嫂打官司，赢得大笔对孩子非常有用的赔偿。如果悉心美
国文化，这些是不难理解的。美国的基督教文化把胎儿视为上帝的礼物，不赞成任何条
件下的堕胎。羊穿这种检测是配合着堕胎保证优生的手段，也遭到这个文化的抵制的。
