发帖数: 1481 | 5 之前看了几本没什么数学公式的，还挺容易的，coursera上andrew ng和hinton的课也
比较容易follow。然后开始看hastie，发觉跟不上，数学太多了，最主要也没什么推导
。怎么办？有没有比这个浅一些的书但是也包含数学推导和原理分析的。
另外我感觉这本书包括的内容很多啊，很有点儿全方位literature survey的意思，一
个regression能讲好多细节的变化，搞学术肯定是很需要的，但是真正工作中会用到这
么多变化吗？
另求推荐neural network的书，我觉得这个东西挺有意思的，最近的一些应用表现也不
错，而且可以用GPU来training，我也有GPU做计算的经验。这东西在目前的data
analyticsl实际工作中用的多么？ |

一片。这些本身就是heuristic的东西，理解起来不难，那些数学公式的作用无非是把
intuition的东西包装起来变得更加晦涩而已。如果你不研究这个，略过理论分析的部

他是做理论的，自然不太看得上比如tibshirani,hastie一伙做的东西，
反过来hastie一伙对他也很粗暴，老夫亲眼看到在hastie一个报告中
donoho的提问被很简单粗暴地打发。
donoho以前做的一个关于稀疏性的工作跟tibshirani做的一个叫lasso
的东西撞车（donoho做的更早一点但是更特殊的情形）,他们互相不爽。
而且在斯坦福donoho是外来和尚，tibshirani和hastie都是本系毕业生，
人脉很足，所以donoho被孤立也并非不正常。 |

讲的是Machine Learning的一类方法, 覆盖面很全, 篇幅分配也比较均衡. Bishop的书
其实应该叫"Bayesian Methods for PRML", 把所有的方法都纳入了贝叶斯统计的体系.
虽然很有系统性, 各种方法也都能覆盖到, 但是对于一些实用性较强的方法如SVM,
Bishop用了大量的篇幅论述这些方法的实用性不那么强的贝叶斯版本, 而忽略了这些方
法非贝叶斯的一些扩展, 感觉比较有失偏颇.
另外, Hastie和Bishop两本书貌似都没有涉及VC Theory和Generalization Error的内
容, 作为教材的话感觉缺了一大块, 得补一些Vapnik和Schapire的书中的章节. |

首先不管怎么讲，政府肯定是有错或有罪，毕竟让无辜人民死了
然后才能再讨论错在哪里，未来如何改进（抑或是另立新政权，whatever）
这篇文章从技术上看很有道理
我猜土共当时否认坦克碾人不一定是耍无赖，可能是基于对军队命令的了解（没有明确
的杀人命令），以及自身军事常识的缺乏（没考虑到坦克视野狭小会误碾人）而做出的
hasty conclusion.
（我是瞎猜的，欢迎拍砖）
就算是误碾的，土共也应该考虑到坦克在混乱状况下非常容易误碾人这一特性
也应该考虑到，人民才不会管是不是故意的，而是只关心结果的特性
也应该考虑到，人民一般会把这一事件想得过于简单
最后提一点
民众对军事装备的了解可能很差（对于当时的青年人而言，全民皆兵的时代已经远去）
可能完全无法预料到这一情形
也十分可能把步战车错当成坦克
把烟雾弹催泪弹当成毒气弹 |
