想换工作了，于是又开始忙碌了。 update 简历，跟Headhunter联系，在网上找合适的
工作，找以前同事Networking。进展挺缓慢的，于是有些感慨。
当年找美国学校，找奖学金。出来后，上研究院的时候，找暑假实习，毕业了，到处找
工作。
第一份工作做了两年，又开始找机会跳槽。２００７年动了回国的念头，于是又找了一
阵子国内的工作。去年换了工作，谁知道没多久就结婚了，两人不在一个城市，于是又
要开始找工作relocate. 可是现在经济不好，换工作谈何容易。
唉，累了，感觉比起国内朋友安稳的工作和生活，我的生活太过折腾。７年来，住过８
个城市，搬过无数次家。年少时觉得流浪是多么浪漫的事情，可现在却很羡慕别人稳定
的生活。 在杭州的朋友同学，很多从来都没写过简历 (I have more than 30
different versions of resume)，都还是当年通过关 |

。当然我也在cisco见过既是ccie又是phd的。不过这种基本上都是以phd进了cisco做DE
后自己有兴趣又去考的ccie。如果在isp这些地方，就基本不打边把。

received my reply including my personal email address for you to forward
your resume. If you did not receive it, please send me a message again.
One disclaimer I need to make is that I do not work for this company and I

Why not go to a TOP 10 MBA and go to Investment Banking for M & A or IBD in
Hong Kong . IB in hong kong loves people with big 4 experience but first of
all,you must have a top MBA degree ( at least NYU level). Paid start at 80-
100k USD.
Or a even better MBA program like Yale and go to consulting firm in USA if
really want to stay here.
I totally don't understand why your friends still want to go to Big 4.

transporter, 跟分子生物学实验室没有任何两样了. 前两个月我下边有个PK/PD
opening, 正好UCSF有个学生要找工作, 看在校友的份上就让他来面世.结果讲了一堆
clone, mutation, expression, tranfetcion, blah, blah, blah, 弄的我都差点没法
向我老板交代, 弄了个根本不沾边的来. 最后通过headhunter从别的公司挖了一个过来.
和那个人中午吃饭聊天, 问到你为何不讲PK的东西.答曰现在他们都不做这个了. 因为
molucular biology好拿funding, 纯PK拿funding很难. 我估计这lewis Shiner一死,
leslie benet再一退, UCSF的PK就算是完了.
劝大家一句, 找industry工作, 学校,PAPER是虚名,没用的. 第一是做的东西要实用,
其次是老板在工业界要有connection (你要是本事大, 自己有也可以). PERIOD. |

同意wardo，好坑。不过，要玩，就不能当坑。
先恭喜楼主找到工作，还十万呢，我敢打赌，这在生物博士里其实算高工资了。所以，
相对学cs的，学生物的不值显而易见。所以，我决不反对转行，并且，转行的越多，对
我这种千老越有好处。：）。
不过，也说说CS，并不都是光明一片。两个表弟都是美国这边名校CS的Ph.D.，国内也
是绝对工科名校的。一个是自身运气不好，毕业时间也短，还在为绿卡奋斗。在政府部
门工作，工资也不高；一个已经毕业十年了，现在是第三个工作，一路大公司，现在在
google。上礼拜打电话说，弯区的房子买不起呢（他是有房族，早就还完了房贷，但在
外州）。马上要生孩子了，着急找大点的房子好安置来带孩子的老人呢。我笑话他上次
不去google就没这个烦恼了。他说，是啊。可google是学CS人的麦加圣地。我女儿还作
过梦呢。
无论怎么说，CS目前比生物好很多。至少目前工作机会多很多。女儿说找她的
headhunter很多。我想我们作生物的肯定不多。但CS要不要搞成permanent head
damage倒真是值得想想。一个master也许够了。 |

个会有很长的适应期。公司的人笑话我们刚走出来的人是呆，死脑筋。数据的处理，尤
其是客服性质的公司，真的很头疼的。真的有看见社会“黑暗面”的感觉呀。水让我们
学术界这么“纯洁”呢。：）。
我太太就是在小公司里起步的。你说得很对，这方面的需求还不小。我太太以前挂了个
C.V.在网上，因有经验，找她的headhunter很多的。都是一些日用化工，食品分析等等
的公司，大大小小。客服公司辛苦，面对的分析也多，学的东西更多，太太在那里干了
6年，我干了两年，里面不少是生物Ph.D.有了那里的基本训练，在出来找就容易多了。
但很多还是不能拿Ph.D.title的。太太运气好是那个老板是老中，生活里的朋友。后来
公司卖了，现在是一个大公司的分部，要进去就每那么容易了，对Ph.D.基本是再不雇
佣了。这写年，我和太太对那个中国老板/朋友感激不尽呢。没有他，我太太是很难找
到义愤工作的。
太太现在的工作就是比较正规的化工厂的QC--工作比应对客服性质的工作要轻松多了。

到indeed，Rigzone上搜搜，有不少。一个面试直接在indeed上找的。还有一个是一个3-party headhunter给找的。
对了，careerbuilder上不少猎头，他们有时候信息比较快。但是切记只要和一个猎头联系。因为如果两个猎头同时给某个公司发一份简历，公司一般不会录取。因为谁也不想给别人两份佣金。另外猎头发给公司后，公司如果半年内录取你你的话，都要给他佣金，所以猎头千万不能多。。。切记切记。。。血的教训。。 |
