上7点过来了,然后一个量了一下后去买热水器(40gal, short, $600 including tax, http://www.homedepot.com/Plumbing-Water-Heaters-Residential/h_d1/N-5yc1vZbqow/R-100199748/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053), 另外一个开始卸旧的, 在9:30的时候全部搞定,看他们走的那么匆忙,估计是接下一班去了.
计要让很多生物博后郁闷一下了. |

去年冬天住在Mt Baldy山脚下，因为太冷，开暖气多一些，被房东老太太警告，说我把
她家电费飚到160$多，从此小心翼翼地节制
因此提醒大家，开heater虽然舒服，但须注意电表 |

家里的hotwater heater漏水了，temperature pressure valve那里。换了这个valve还
是漏。估计要换个新的了。
大家说说传统的好还是tankless的好啊？传统的话电的和气的那种好？
这东西自己安装可行吗？
明天就打算换了，一知半解，所以请了解的xdjms帮帮忙，十分感谢。 |

发帖数: 47 | 15 I have to replace my 12 year-old Rheem gas water heater recently. Called
several vendors. They don't recommend hybrid since we live in NJ . Heat
pump works better in warmer regions like Florida. As for tankless, it
requires quite some amount of additional electrical work in my case and its
initial cost was very high. Thus, I did not pursue down that route. At the
end, I stick with Whirlpool gas heater. Hope it helps. |

set too high, the air going through the vent could be like "steam" of which
met the cold water pipe could condense to water in surround the cold water
pipe.

有经验，没有开着heater走，回来的时候发现所有的东西都冻住了，包括水管。现在水
管都破裂了。小区leasing office不但不cover 房屋漏水的损失，还同时要求老婆赔偿
邻居的损失。请问这合理吗？同时提一句，老婆之前从来没有收到过notice冬天需要一
直开着heater。 |

Base heater 不一定差。因为面积大。温度不用太高。买来的heater发热面积小，反而
温度得比较高才能有差不多的效果。 |

water heater 下的表面有明显的水渍，很难看。图片 1
而且水曾经渗透过后面的墙，在背靠的厕所墙内留下了霉斑。图片2
inspector说看样子已经是修好了，没有ongoing problems.
但是看着真恶心，估计要重新刷漆。
这样的问题大么？需要砍多少价回来？ |

发帖数: 1257 | 26 贵与不贵最大的差别其实是你要city permit不。
不要permit的话，可以叫homedepot直接给你安装，安装人员到了之后
refuse一切跟新permit相关的东东。几乎可以100%的肯定你原来的
heater是不符合要求的。需要加的东东又多又贵。
这样下来安装费也就$200-300左右。如果一切按照permit的要求来，
至少再加$1000. 我前几个月刚换的，叫homedepot装的，一共$940.

另外， cold water nipple connection 有铁锈rust 和腐蚀的痕迹。 奇怪的是cold
water nipple connection 即使leak， 那cold water from city pipe 怎么会腐蚀
nipple 吗？cold water 不是没有腐蚀性吗？ 要是hot water 说腐蚀还差不多。难道

exchanger that
has a crack. If so, it is not recommended to fix but replace. It it is used
in rental property, buy 80% efficient heater for about $2000-$4000
depending on the house size. if it is used for primary residential, buy 95%
energy efficient heater for about $5000+.
Cal state law requires every home to have carbon monoxide detector, one per
each level. get one for about $30 from home depot.

Water heater在Home Depot或Lowes买，价钱加税，没有安装。
请人的话基本是water heater价钱的一倍。自己装的话，累点，材料费几十到上百。
要我帮忙的话，没那几百块还真不愿那个累。 |

新的，labor cost也只cover一年。
超过一年后，即使找installer，也不会免费帮你修。
我后来网上找到个有人给water heater only这个公司的差评，如下：
They replaced our under warranty Rheem Water Heater a year ago. Which still
costs us $450. Now a year later, I woke up to no hot water yesterday. The
parts were under warranty but it was a $125 service charge. They replaced
the rods. This morning we once again woke up with no hot water. My husband

unit不算太大的，用水暖，但是没有另外安装boiler，就是跟洗澡用的heater同一个，

放整个heater的水，麻烦不说，还浪费水。
5年左右检查一下anode rod。腐蚀厉害的话，换一更根。据说这样下来water heater可
以用2,3十年没有问题。 |

是因为water heater连到gas上的，所以需要permit,不是所有heater都需要的。
修理公司charge$170,如果用他们的permit-他们说可以直接从county申请.我想看
county大概需要多少钱，是不是差得很多 |

礼拜六只有20/40.打了一下5/5NL就有seat open。
从9PM打到5AM，又是一个7.5rack heater！！
