最初的起源有可能是吐火罗语，因为月氏在那一代活动了很长时间
也有人说什么敦煌，敦薨干脆就是吐火罗的另外一种音译，未必是一个地方但有关系
不过现代汉语的吐火罗一词来自希腊语Τόχαροι
更早的来源众说纷纭
有学者用统计方法比较发现，吐火罗语跟日耳曼语最接近
其次是希腊语、印地语和拉丁语等
最有意思的是，从文献看吐火罗语里“百”的说法类似kante
这跟欧洲类似：古希腊语hekaton, 拉丁语centum，古爱尔兰语cet
但跟印度-波斯不同：梵语：shatam，波斯语sad，
所以月氏人的来源确实值得关注 |
