发帖数: 6 | 4 月初搬出，房子在UTC，住了三年，是通过American Heritage Properties租的。被
扣掉了好几百刀，说我们把炉子，微波炉，冰箱表面用了abrasive cleaner，有划伤。
完全无语，我们其实维护得很不错，来我们家玩的朋友都说厨房收拾的干净，墙上和
ceiling毫无油烟。搬出时还请专业cleaning crew来打扫。以前租的房子同样
condition，都是完全退回deposit。
刚去yelp上看了，overall rating比较低，三年前我们找房的时候还没有这些review，
否则也不会从他家租了。

我觉得不对，不是学生以中文为母语，而是学生的主要家庭成员是中文母语者。但又想

经历都不是太愉快。
第一次临到签字签给我们说房东只签半年， 然后又因为地毯问题， 整整扣了700多的
押金。
第二次，我基本上是面面俱到的打扫过一次了， 还让他来做了pre-moving out
inspection, 他当时指出的问题都做了处理， 最后拿到的钱还是少了50. 原因是厨房
抽屉不干净。有点无语， 因为这一项是他指出后专门又去清洁了的
我们已经请人做过清洁， 再清洁也不用50了。
希望后来者注意他家扣押金的问题 |

在 potomac river 的另一边，与 CCT 平行，还有一个很好的trail--American
Heritage Trail. 它起点在Rosslyn，终点在Great Falls.但是我中午跑步最远也就是
到Chain Bridge, 这个Chain Bridge是那个老的说。
这条trail， 也是沿着河和George Washington Pkwy，这个trail上上下下很多坡。 有
的地方树木很密。所以不推荐女生自己去。 不过我在那里跑了这么多年，除了有一次
遇到一只狐狸，还没有意外。 （knock the wood).
在2英里的地方， 有一处瀑布，虽然小，但是很好看。
在2.5英里的地方， 在河之州，有一个三姐妹岛。 顾老相传，印第安部落一个酋长的
女儿， 不听父亲的警告，擅自渡河，结果淹死在河里。 每到阴天的时候， 可以听到
冤魂的哭泣。
在快到ｏｌｄ ｃｈａｉｎ ｂｒｉｄｇｅ的地方， 有一个废弃的磨坊。
这个ｔｒａｉｌ的特点是林深，路陡。

Heirloom和杂交的差别
刚才TT mm在群里问，我很民科的来回答一下。以下都是我自己的理解，有错请大家更
正啊。
heirloom的意思是祖传，祖上传下来的，历史悠久，一般都能追溯到很久以前
特点：比较好吃，可以想像嘛，一直传那么久，不好吃谁传它啊；稳定，以前的农民没
有现在的各种育种技术，他们只能每次把最好的那个果实留下来，也没有杂交技术，所
以都是小昆虫授粉，花粉可能来自任何植株，所谓的open pollination就是说花粉随处
来没控制。通过世代相传，除了选择最好的果实这点是农民能控制的，其他都交给了自
然界，所以只有稳定的品种能传下来。不稳定就传不下来。
杂交是现代的技术，是在人为的控制下，父母都确定的情况下的杂合，完全人工选择，
