mesh size and total meshs in the simulation. What happened in HFSS is based
on your solution frequency, HFSS will generate a initial solution, which
includes the mesh, port solution and etc. based on that frequency.
2. After the inital solution, HFSS will automatically refine the mesh and
perform a full solution until convergence based on that single solution
frequency.

如果有这样的情况的话是不是需要64位的HFSS呢？

hfss最让我感觉麻烦的 倒不是电磁的理论 而是如何正确设置一些比如port的属性和
波的类型 边界类型 才可以精确的反映出自己希望仿真的实际情况
自己的问题也许用物理的概念很容易描述清楚了 但是如何用HFSS仿真和描述的 |

t your frequency range.
it will give you sparameters, field plot in your frequency range. add infini
te sphere in radiation, then you can check antenna parameters.
I don't quite understand the solution frequency in HFSS setting.

哨都不会用了。CST MWS不错，时域信息很有帮助，不过我主要是做波导结构。还用它
的祖宗CST MAFIA,这个简直不稳定得要死，不过作粒子仿真还是离不开。 |

但是HFSS里面wave port solution也已经给出该段传输线的特征阻抗,alpha值,beta值
这个alpha是不是也就是该段传输线的损耗呢? |

的二维截面的解，所以通常你用port only也可以得到，精确度没有这么高。
当然，就算三维解其实也没有多少准确度，dielectric的loss和conductor roughness
这些很难精确确定的都对loss有很大影响，最好还是测量以后deembed. |

按照hfss的manual waveport可以看成 uniform的 无限长的波导

说得更清楚一点，HFSS 不能simulate active device,所以需要给diode的地方加个
lumped cap.以前都是引出port在电路上加，现在结构复杂，port不好引出，所以希望
如此来定义边界条件。

use that? These spirals are based on testing results.
24GHz is too high, ADS can not do it accurately. In my view, HFSS is better.
For layout, both ADS and HFSS can do it, like GDSII file etc. Just import
export.
And for design, first do it in ADS Momentum, get result, then export to HFSS
, re-generate the model, modify some part. This way should be more efficient

总的感觉，“公司需要”真是太广啦，根本不可能用几种软件全包括。很多流行仿真软
件，也需要二次开发或者定做，才可以用于本行业。
我前几年高强度地做过一些三维电磁仿真（用的是HFSS），主要用于难以实际测试的情
况。例如分析一个微型螺线管中高频电场和磁场的分部。仿真的好处是可以快速改变模
型结构，看看产生什么效果。我当时就在螺线管中加入了一些小金属球、片，在外面加
一些金属片，试图调整其电场分部，取得了一定效果。后来做出真正的产品，性能有所
改进。
还做过一些电路仿真，用的是Ansoft。做的是高频前置放大器的噪声分析，但是做的不
是很深入。
当时公司里其他人，希望用流体力学仿真找到气动高速旋转零件的摩擦发热分部，但是
由于软件太贵(SolidEdge，是SolidWorks的竞争对手），就没买。
仿真软件的好处是可以通过对模型的扫频计算，得到其频域模型，这样可以给出时域相
应。例如可以算出电子系统对脉冲的相应、时延、反射等，这些都是不容易测量的。还
有就是对非电量的仿真（一般来说非电信号更难以测量准），例如应力，流速，震荡等。

我想请教的是，电感的仿真用什么软件？ADS还是HFSS？ADS和HFSS哪个专业？更重要的
一点是，这2个软件，哪一个能够提供了向Cadence软件的接口（就是说这2个软件的电感
设计哪个能够导入到Cadence生成Layout）？
