新冠疫情在美国爆发以来，全美的实验室都在争分夺秒地研制相关疫苗。如今，他们面
临的一个窘境是：有足够的经费、足够的专业科研人员，然而，却没有足够的疫苗试验
所需的小鼠。
“10年前在SARS爆发期间，我们研制疫苗时曾经使用过一种转基因小鼠做实验，当时不
可能有足够的经费一直供养着这些小鼠，我就提取了当时那批小鼠的精子样本冻在冰箱
里，现在我们把这些小鼠精子提供给能够生产相同基因小鼠的实验室，他们可以通过人
工授精的形式，生产出试验新冠肺炎疫苗所需的小鼠。”艾奥瓦大学医学院新冠肺炎专
家普尔曼教授（Stanley Perlman）告诉第一财经记者。

近日再添风波。加州华裔参议员刘云平（Ted Lieu）因叫停SCA5提案而在国会竞选中受
挫，6名民主党州议员近日宣布撤回他们对刘云平的支持。
报道称，3月25日，6名议员联名发邮件到刘云平的国会竞选办公室，要求“把他们
的名字从刘云平的支持者名单中去除掉”。
4月2日晚上，在刘云平的竞选网站中，支持者名单里去掉了这6位议员的名字。
这6位州议员的名字分别是：Ricardo Lara、Norma Torres、Holly Mitchell、
Lorena Gonzalez、Anthony Rendon和Jose Medina。
此前，刘云平在国会众议院的竞选中曾得到民主党力挺，他在2月份的民主党背书
预投票中，压倒性地战胜了前洛杉矶市主计长葛若尔（Wendy Greuel）。刘云平将与其
他17位候选人一起，竞选由即将退休的国会众议员瓦克斯曼（Henry Waxman）留下的席
