amyloid beta in the brain regions that Alzheimer's hits first,
researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis
report. Amyloid beta is the main ingredient of the plaque lesions that
are a hallmark of Alzheimer's.

Just as the clamor about Biogen’s seeking FDA approval for aducanumab with
one positive Phase 3 trial started to die down, a Chinese company garnered a
regulatory thumbs-up for its drug, also with one Phase 3 trial. On November
2, Shanghai Green Valley Pharmaceuticals announced that China’s National
Medical Product Administration (NMPA) had conditionally approved GV-971, aka

一个关键词，中国之声就此向美国农业部求证。
美国农业部部长顾问麦克斯·霍兹曼(Max Holtzman)介绍，美国对于转基因技术的
监管框架是由三个部门共同搭建的，分别是USDA、FDA和EPA。其中，USDA也就是美国农
业部负责对农业安全和环境安全的审查，FDA也就是美国食品和药物管理局负责对食品
和饲料安全的监管，而EPA也就是美国环保署，负责审查其作为杀虫剂使用是否安全。
麦克斯·霍兹曼表示，简单来说，美国政府在考量包括转基因在内的所有应用于农
业的技术是否适合推广，依据都是是否在对环境无害的前提下有利于农业效率和农民收
益的提高。美国政府对转基因和非转基因产品的监管是一视同仁的，更明确地说就是，
美国政府不对转基因产品进行额外监管。美国农业部明确表示，转基因作物能减少水、
农药和除草剂的使用，减少翻耕，无论是从经济角度还是营养角度，都“看不出反对种
植的理由”。目前，美国的玉米和大豆超过90%都是转基因作物，其中供美国本国使用

章大牛在那次差点要了他命的“体检”中死里逃生，已经8年了。那是他生平第一
次，也是迄今唯一的一次“体检”。但是直到今天，他仍不清楚那次“体检”的真相。
这位55岁的安徽枞阳县农民记得，1995年秋天的一个早上，“上面来人”叫他到镇
卫生院去“体检”。章大牛的妻子周真梅说，他们放下手里的活儿，赶到镇上，因为据
称“体检”是给农民服务的，“有病给你治病还不要钱”。这对平时“没钱买药就望着
”，有钱买药也得等到喘得受不了时才吃一片的章大牛夫妇来说，真是天大的好事。
章大牛夫妇有4个儿子。他们按要求带着两个儿子去“体检”。因为没钱坐车，他
们步行十多里地，赶到镇卫生院，得到一顿免费午餐后，下午开始检查。他们回忆，同
时做检查的还有来自其他村的二、三十人。
不过，在章大牛所在的村民组30来户人家中，他们是唯一被喊去参加“体检”的。
