不过，根据人口普查数据，圣荷西所在的圣塔克拉拉县一典型家庭的年收入，还不到25
万5000元的一半。由此产生的差距—— 购买房屋所需的资金与居民收入和存款之间的
差距—— 凸显了湾区住房市场难以承受的程度，并解释了为何许多居民放弃湾区的生
活，转而搬到其他地方。
圣塔克拉拉县游民服务非牟利组织HomeFirst的首席执行官尤顿说：“这种家庭收入水
