发帖数: 20256 | 1 这两天谣传，下一场比赛我们的freshman Steven Hopkins有可能会大大增加上场时间
。他其实在MSU比赛有限的上场时间里，表现不错，没有carry的时候，block也很好，
毕竟220多磅的身躯，leading block的时候对付LB，没问题。
我觉得read option就应该有两个不同类型的跑攻球员。例如，以前的鳄鱼，PH+Tebow
，一个速度快，一个power running，这样对方很难防，无论是1st down还是3rd down
，长还是短，都能适应。我密DR属于速度型QB，如果能配上一个power runner，这样将
会更好。特别是在大十比赛，undersize的RB一tackle就倒，对我们跑攻十分不利。
Mike Shaw算是speed back，现在大三，今年力量增加不少，但是break tackle能力还
不行，而且有伤不是100%。smith个子太小，虽然run的也很tough，但是对付大十的防
线，基本上tackle后1，2yard都拿不到，特别是ACL好了之后，感觉力量还没恢复到原

发帖数: 269 | 4 大家好我是01级生物系毕业。我最近被美国霍普金斯医学院的 MD program录取。但是因为我是国
际学生，没有绿卡，所以贷款很难。而且hopkins要求四年的学费一次性交清,共30万美金，包括学
费，生活费和其他一切的费用，其实和其他的医学院的费用，那怕是很一般的州立大学医学院（out
of state tuition, living expense, insurance, transportation， books,
etc)相比，也是不贵的。但是美国没有银行会把四年的学费一次性贷给一个学生，所以我几乎想要放
弃这个offer,但是机会难得，我总是下不了决心。美国医学院很少招外国的学生，更不要说像
hopkins这样级别的医学院了。
我还被新加坡的Duke-NUS医学院录取。但是这个学校有服务合同（毕业之后六年），加上医学院四
年，一共是十年。基本上我一旦决定去了新加坡之后，医生和今后的生活只能在新加坡了，这让我也
很难做决定，但是这个学校提供financial aid.
我来自祖国的西北省份。上大学的时候，本想学医，但是国内一流的医学院，比如协和，北大医学

发帖数: 223 | 9 申请了今年秋季入学的Special Education, Master Program. 刚拿到University of
Washington的offer, 还有Johns Hopkins的interview. 觉得University of
Washington的program 挺好的, 排名也很高. 再看看Johns Hopkins, 似乎多年前
Special Education排名不错, 但现在不知道派到哪儿去了. 除了排名以外, 其实也说
不出Johns Hopkins哪儿好. 只是以前的排名高, 现在应该也还不错. Johns Hopkins
没有Ph.D. program, 只有Ed.D. 校区很分散, 通车比较麻烦, 听说有的校区要开车一
个多小时才到, 不过学费比University of Washington 便宜.
这里有人知道这两个学校的program, 觉的值得推荐的吗? 多谢! |

近被Duke-NUS 的医学院录取，不过新加坡的学校都要签服务合同（毕业之后六年），
所以总共就是十年。也就是说如果我一旦决定去新加坡念医学院，几乎行医的事业就只
能是新加坡了。我只是大概的知道那边医生的工作比美国辛苦，收入也要少一些，做同
样的工作的话收入大概是美国的60%-70%，但是其他的方面呢？比如医患关系，医生的
自主性，事业上升的空间这些“软性”环境如何呢？还有除去收入和工作时间，还有什
么因素对于医生这个职业比较重要？
另外我还被美国约翰霍普金斯医学院录取，但是我没有绿卡，所以贷款很难，因为Hopkins
要求国际学生的四年的钱一次性付清（30万美金，包括学费，生活费和其他所有的费用
，其实和其他的医学院比起来是是不贵的），但是没有银行会把四年的学费一次贷给一
个学生，都是一年一年贷。Hopkins也没有学校给国际学生的贷款或者其他别的帮助。
我几乎已经决定放弃这个offer,但是总是做不了决定。如果有人有什么意见可以解决钱
的问题的话，我也非常感激。

两个都是坚决支持Hopkins进入中国的。现在这个形势，想把Hopkins模式推介到中国的
机会微乎其微了。Hopkins是个比较理想的模式，她服务于大量的当地社区的贫困人口
，也服务于各国的达官贵人，一直是我心目中的适合中国和谐社会的模式。可惜，两边
都失去合作的动力。也许，这是我最后一次站在人生的十字路口了。要么，追随已经进
入中国的集团参与中国医疗改革的进程，要么追随一批有志于与IT工业界合作，改变美

Without knowing the kind of cancer -- the options are:
Neurosurgery: Johns Hopkins, Barrow Institute or other large academic
centers such as MGH, UCSF, Mayo. Duke is DEFINITELY not the place to go for
neurosurgery. Everybody thought Ted Kennedy was an idiot to go there.

谢谢xiaobug推荐，我和孩子深为画面和情节吸引。阿拉伯大漠浩瀚，沙丘舞练，风起
云落，红日如血，场景极其壮观。三千英里的沙漠赛马不仅比脚力、耐力、野外生存力
，还比骑手的阴谋力、智勇力和仁爱力。看到屡屡害人害马的坏蛋与《指环王》的主演
Viggo Mortensen决战时，我们悲愤地大喊kill him! Kill him! （真杀时又有点不忍
……）看到人与马同时累倒、人举刀欲杀马时，我们疾呼Don't kill him! Don't kill
him! 看得十分投入。
以前看的几个马电影都推崇纯种马（其实thoroughbreds本非纯种，是英国马和中东马
杂交而成）；这匹Hidalgo却是起源于西班牙的北美野马mustang，是杂交混血的马种代

般的进攻以10比4大比分领先。Duke似乎还没有从周六和Cornell
的鏖战中恢复回来。下半场风云突变，Duke掘地反攻连追
5分，并终于在第4节扳成11平。关键时刻，Hopkins半场断球
快攻得手。最后4分钟，Johns Hopkins以铁一般的意志挡住了
Duke的绝望攻击，挺住了一个长达1分钟的少一个人的劣势
(类似于冰球的power play). 最终创记录的第9次拿下NCAA men
lacrosse的冠军。

发帖数: 20256 | 43 再说说跑攻，我密跑攻到现在为止，我认为已经具很大杀伤力，主要几点：OL今年基本
定型，打得不输别人的DL,downfield block不错；RB/TE都block的不错；DR vision好
，速度快。DR的vision是在college QB，甚至RB都少有的。这也是为什么他十分通电的
原因。跑攻的问题在于read option时, DR是否能正确阅读对方防守。之前几场比赛还
可以。但是一旦进入大十比赛，就像去年一样，对手会调整DE和LB的动作，迷惑DR，让
他bad read。这只能依靠经验和RR赛后film study去提高。跑攻最根本问题还是RB，老
大难问题，体重不够。Shaw/smith去年就体现出来的问题，大十比赛yard per carry不
行，power不够，一碰就倒。所以我赛季初一开始就看好Steven Hopkins，Hopkins没有
blazing speed,但是论vision没有Shaw/smith差，体重/power高出不少，昨天的几个
play，每次都能跟着OL后面搞个6-7 yard。十分不错。只要他不fumble，我觉得应该让

一直保持着一年一部的节奏，不疾不徐。但大多收在年尾，不知是年关交账呢，还是新
年贺岁之意。
Woody的大多数片子，如果把画外音撤去，添些人造场外笑声，很像BBC的室内情景剧。
文雅的英式英语，引经据典的对话，含蓄的费些琢磨的笑点。情节可能纠葛，但人物关
系还算简单，而且成组出场。难怪欧洲人看不起好莱坞，却欣赏Woody Allen, 老人家
这些年都在欧洲拍片。
