impact gun可有可无, 小车没必要. 需要个hydraulic trolley jack.
2-ton得就可以了. jack stand可以用木头或者砖头代替, 用hydraulic jack
得时候要架在金属支撑得部位, 拉上emergency brake. 还有就是照块别太
软得平地. leg nuts因车而异有得真得锈死了可能又需要lubricant又需要把
hydraulic jack得杆子取下来做breaker bar得延长杠杆. |

息都是95% - 5%前后分配
大家经常说RAV4, CRV是太公四驱, 就是这种所谓的awd, 平时实际上就是FWD, 只有在
前轮打滑的情况下, 才能把扭矩转到后轮. 叫做"slip-and-grip". 和真正的全时四驱,
平时就50-50, 60-40或者40-60扭矩分配的四驱有本质区别.
volvo也是这种slip n grip. 平时就是FWD. RAV4, CRV平时是100/0. RAV4有sport
mode能90/10, volvo平时是95/5. 和RAV4, CRV本质一样.

以前都是在sears换engine oil （普通）和oil filter，每次35左右（合成油55左右，偶没换过）。在其他地方也用过几次11.9的coupon。有童鞋说这些低价coupon有trick。我没有研究过究竟有啥trick，不过如果大家看看我自己换油的花费（见本文最后），可能也会认同trick一说。
网上看了很多换机油的video，感觉满容易的。并且以前每次在sears换油的时候，都站在旁边学。没吃过猪肉，还没见过猪跑么？大概的步骤无非就是升起汽车，放出旧油，拧下旧oil filter，拧上新oil filter，倒入新油，放下汽车，完毕。比把大象放入冰箱的三个步骤（打开冰箱门，放入大象，关上冰箱门）稍微麻烦一点而已。
实际情况如何呢？
匆忙之中，没有留照片。下次换油的时候补上。

如果你是小白而且不愿意事先上网作一点研究，可以直接跑到kragen或autozone问店小儿。店小二会告诉你需要买些什么材料和工具。

很多人讨论石油，都是从美国vs俄罗斯、沙特vs美国、传统油气产业vs页岩油气产业这
样的大视角来说。我本人见识狭小，这些大局的东西俺都看不懂，俺就从俺懂的石油公
司的角度随便说说。
之前网上一个常见的观点是，这一把油价雪崩，美国各大石油公司都会受伤惨重。我对
此比较保留。在美国财阀政治的大背景下，石油公司都有强大的政治力量，如果不取得
石油财团的谅解，油价能那么莫名其妙在没有任何big event的情况下，突然就从100+
的高位崩到60以下，并且做出长期走低的姿态？我认为，大石油公司在这场油价雪崩中
必然是有收益的，因此他们才愿意支持并维持低油价一段较长的时间。问题在于大石油

I can't agree more.
The accumulator is something to suspect on fully hydraulic and partly
electronic automatics. Most hydraulic clutch/band circuits have an accumulator,
which is a spring-loaded piston assembly in a chamber, to prevent shift shock.
If the chamber is filled with sludge or the piston spring is broken, it could
be responsible.
Of course, a sludge-filled or varnished accumulator chamber could indicate
a varnished valve body under the oil pan. S |

外出办事，在100多mile的地方，不幸后避震器的下端连接处断了，导致顶在轮胎内壁
上，差点把轮胎磨暴了，本来打算拖车到就近的车铺，一打听连工带料要250刀，这个
数字不好，不爽。仔细看了看，发现简单固定下避震器下端，让它不要碰到轮胎和地面
，还是可以开的，于是小心的开回来。决定自己换，从网上定了对KYB的，70多刀，装
的过程还算容易，呵呵。
几天后，发电机又挂了，网上买个二手的，40刀。这个装起来有些难度，要拆不少东西
。而且，买来的发电机外形尺寸上与旧的稍有差异(车型一样，年份不同)，装不上。把
它们都拆开，把旧的里面的电刷，交直流转换器和整流器三样东西都换了，肉眼看上去
像是电刷不行了，磨得太短了已经。装上，好了，运气不错，呵呵。发电机接电池负极
的那个螺丝是安装时拧断的防盗设计，拆起来很抓狂。这个坏掉的发电机还是原装的之
前没换过，91年的产品，质量过硬。
这车没有转速表，开起来不太习惯，买个aftermarket的装上，感觉不错。

is not oil. it's a hydraulic fluid.
It's in a closed system. and should not vary much under normal use.
Supposedly, if your braking fluid level is low. it very well reflects other
problems with the system.
I would not be able to tell what the problem is. but i would not just ignore
a braking system anomaly.
That's why, for regular driving public, it is NEVER recommended to "add to"
hydraulic braking fluid yourself.

引擎盖的螺丝。达人们指导一下，是不是应该拧开这颗螺丝(黑色箭头所指)？ 我试了
socket wrench, 但是力矩不够，怎么都拧不开。可能要重新买一个。达人们有什么好
的wrench 推荐？
车底盘太低，没有太多空间腾挪。准备把车抬起来。买了一个hydraulic jack, 但是不
知道应该撑在怎么位置。user manual 上的图根本没有什么帮助。看起来有两个地方可
以撑车子：1）从bumper 往车肚子大概36寸的地方有一个横跨车两侧的钢壳子。2）引
擎下面有一大块铝壳子，如箭头所指。不知道这两个地方哪个可以撑车子？不过那个钢
壳子所在地点太深，hydraulic jack根本够不到。达人们有什么建议？ |

AT是靠齿轮，容易理解。以前scooter之类小engine
用橡胶皮带CVT还比较容易理解一点，马力小，橡胶不太滑。
汽车CVT就靠两个光滑如镜的斜面夹着一个光滑如镜的
金属链，而且不是夹死，还能随着宽度随时调整上下位置，
这东西怎么能挤住的同时还能灵活上下走还能高效率呢？我
主观想象一下觉得很容易打滑，时间长松了岂不是效率更会
降低很多？网上随便找找没找到关于打滑的讨论
