么的.
而hydraulics基本上可以用数学力学描述,顶多搞不明白的地方用几个系数什么的代替一
下,但就是这样,还是比hydrology成熟. |

研究的方向是applying hydrology modeling, Statistics, optimization in water
resources area.
本人精通 SWAT, HEC-RAS.
MATLAB用的还不错, thesis就是用MATLAB来写的程序，主要有optimization (single/
multi-objective gentic algorithm), change of input, record output, result
comparison, uncertainty analysis, Statistics analysis.

现在课程发现主要有2大类,比如都是hydrology方面的,像surface water hydrology,
ground water hydrology,或者hydrology desigh之类的
还有些课程就是主要针对waste water treatment的,有关于物理化学方法,
biotechnology的..
我一个老美同学(此人在政府机构关于水环境监测部门上班)和我说hydrology和waste
water 对以后毕业工作是截然不同的2个方向,一个是关于water resource的,一个是关
于environmental的...
所以我现在很困惑..我因为也不确定2年毕业后会找什么工作,怎么决定hydrology和
waste water treatment的这2大方向课,到底选哪个???或者我2个方面都选点,这样以后
找工作,每个方面的都懂一些,懂的广点,是不是能扩大我找工作的范围???还是我现在就
应该集中一个领域选课,比如所有研究生课程都选关于hydrology方面的???

所以就套用了常见的说法，可能对国人来说反而不够清晰了，这里简单说明一下。我们
这次就是要招人，所有的level都是开放的，主要取决于申请人的材料能够着哪一级吧
。而且从我的主观角度来说，我也是觉得不同level的申请人都各有利弊吧：如果你有
很好的基础了，能拿到“长江学者”或者“千人计划”，那当然非常好，我们这边一定
会全力支持你去申请，而且学校方面对这样级别的人还是很优待的，可以谈条件；如果
你是刚毕业的phd或者刚出站的postdoc，同样也很好，我自己当年是phd毕业就回国的
，相信能有不少经验和体会能够帮到你。总体而言，申请人能拿到什么位置，什么条件
，主要还是取决于自身的材料，并没有什么很固定的条条框框。据我所知的目前国内情

比较侧重于农业生产，就拿我做的项目来说就是搞Best Management Practices （BMP
），这里面就涉及到农药和氮肥、磷肥的污染与控制这些。我的方向侧重于水文、水质
还有灌溉，和生物没有太大关系。
我们也有老师搞Watershed Hydrology的，也有搞Remote Sensing的，也有搞ET的，还
有搞Hydrological Modeling的。我们系没有人搞流体力学和泥沙这些，Civil他们那边
有。我们学校还有很多人在搞湿地水文。所以我们学校的几个系，比如我们
Agricultural Engineering, Civil, Environmental, Soil and Water 等就联合起来
搞了一个Hydrology Cluster,相当于一个Minor。
你说的这几个杂志也正是我们平时看paper的。看了你的例子，我也是有了不少的信心。

发帖数: 14 | 41 我不觉得hydrology和treatment是截然不同的两个专业。Water Resources Engineer很
多是赶上什么做什么，全看客户需要。比如municipal utilities需要调水了，就问
consulting engineer帮他们申请permit，这其中不乏hydrology modeling；废水厂设
计，尤其是作为地区master planning的一部分，更会考虑water shed的hydrology。
但是water resources（或叫water/wastewater)跟environmental确实不同。这两个还
是可以区分开来的。如果还想给自己留点environmental的后路，就找groundwater,
solid waste这种课学学。废水处理就对这两个方向都有用。 |
