DOS给我的回信
Once we approve a case, USCIS can access that case on the same system we use
. It takes about 1-2 months for them to issue the final Notice of action;
I-797.
I have a question about the I-612. Did someone advise you to file that form
with USCIS? Because it is generally filed when someone needs a J-1 Waiver
filed on "Hardship" grounds, not the "No Objection" grounds as you filed
with our office. |

Has anybody received the J1 waiver approval from USCIS recently? For my case
, the DOS has sent out the recommendation letter on Jan 12, but the USCIS
status is still showing "initial review". The USCIS web page lists the
processing time for I612 J1 waiver is 4 months.

发帖数: 739 | 16 就是DOS的那个recomendation letter，不是大使馆的那个。原则上，劳工部和USCIS也
可接受这个letter进入程序，但最后批准还是要有I612。用letter进入程序的风险是一
旦被拒，那就是真正的悲剧了。如果是在学校里面办H1B，为了节约时间，可以把
letter给学校，让老板push学校把一些必须的手续办了，等有了waiver再pp升级。 |

在为止我都没有收到USCIS的任何消息，没收到I-797C，不知道Case No.。上周开始电
话联系USCIS，USCIS将我的信息发给VSC，今天收到email，说“Based on the
information you have provided, the Vermont Service Center is not able to
locate a record of your filing at this office.
”要我提交更多的材料以便他们查我的case。可是email上并没有说这些材料应该

不用担心waiver吧
