Hot-Half year summer. You may need air-conditioner in November if you live
on the top floor.
Dangerous, basically everywhere. The car may get broken-into in Galleria
during day time. Avoid going out at night, no night life.
Big, the city is so spread out. You need to spend 2-3 hours behind wheels to
commute if work in inner circle.
Flat, it is flat and most of places are below sea-level. o

今天照例操场跑track,6分05的pace 5miles，跑完了，看见Josh Smith（就是上次提到
的那个tempo 跑5分pace的家伙）
以为他也跑完了，就上去跟他打招呼，他问我要不要join him to run,我想反正就跑最
后1-2miles吧，行。然后他说要不就跑5分半的pace，我说好，然后开始跑
第一圈 pace 5分12
第二圈 pace 5分06
快第三圈的时候，我就琢磨：“你不是说5分半么。。。你跑太快了。。”
第2.5圈 pace 4分49...不行了，我感觉眼泪要飙出来了，前面看人有点模糊，不停的
大口喘气，停下来了，他当然继续往前飙。
当时脑子里就一个想法：“你丫是人么？“
然后就在那一边休息，一边等他
5分的pace真是impressive啊，我从跑道这边看他在那边跑，好快啊，一下就过来了。
然后他经过我，我重新跟在他后面跑

beginner perspective.
I got the same racquet with Wilson reaction strung at 58. The reason why I
want a different racquet other than my current K6.1 95 is that K6.1 95 is
heavy and I begin to feel it at my shoulder after almost one week's hitting.
Also, I have troubles to control my racquet when I try to pronate. This
might also due to K6.1 95's weight.

小雨敲打着石板路，街上的行人寥寥；窄窄的小巷，匆匆的行人，摇曳的烛火，擦肩而
过的马车，让我恍惚中回到了200年前的Charleston；街边民间艺人的Saxphone，抑扬
顿挫，演绎着岁月的乐章，婉转在石板的路面上，折射在店铺的门窗上，回旋在教堂的
塔尖上。。。然而最令我心动的，却是一家餐馆里一位少妇抱着一个小天使一般的小孩
子，在布满水雾的玻璃上，小孩子用小手在写字（画画？）。。。这一切，是如此安详
，宁静，仿佛这一刻的时空，凝聚了人世间所有的美好。。。
Charleston的小巷，好像是《花样年华》中滴滴答答的雨声中上海（香港？）的小巷，
似乎永远也走不完--时间，空间，历史，都交汇在这一刻。。。 |

it's a good game, but not a great game. And it IS scary. Maybe play too
much last night, I have a nightmare, and my wife wake me up....
Anyway the good point:
1. combat is intensive. The combat is really good.
2. upgrade the gear is fun. Need to make decision what to upgrade, weapon/
armor/etc.
bad point:
1. For now, seems the environment is kind of boring, always corridor/room/
etc.

compare to the recent big titles. The graphics is pretty much same as FEAR 1
. Will check the PC version late, hope it's better on PC with high video
settings.
Game play wise still fun, assault rifle/short range/long range sniper rifle,
mech fighting, slow mo all mixed together and it's fun. Enemy may even
smarter. Everything is cool except the graphics. |

After more than 20 years, the conditions are still 'horrible' in the
dormitaries. The Big E (Dorm #1) has not changed a bit: the washroom/
bathroom is still dirty and smelly. I would expect the conditions improve
somehow with all the money spent.
Lots of cars in the campus every where you go, which made the campus more
like a busy business district, less like a place for studying.

生煎包
到上海的第一天时差没倒好，一大早我就带着大个子在街上蹓着，经过一路边炸油条的
小摊子，想看看老美对中国早餐有什么反应，问他要不要尝尝Chinese Fried Donuts，
大个子正饿着呢，闻着什么都香，就给他买了一根油条，一个烧饼，加一两生煎包，统
共好像才5块人民币，生活真美好！从摊头走到路口没几米的路，一回头，大个子已经
把油条，烧饼喂下肚了，正叉开五指抓着一个生煎包往嘴里送呢，我刚要提醒他生煎包
里有汁水，只见一股黄汤顺着他的牙缝直直向我飚了过来，大个子嘴里塞满了生煎包，
嘟嘟囔囔的对我说了声对不起，又狼吞虎咽的将剩下的几个消灭了，然后心满意足的边
打着饱嗝边告诉我，“No1（油条）和No3（生煎包）最好吃，No2相对要差一些 |
