用Duke Ellington的话来说 “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That

什么是Swing，简单的说就是律动的节奏。比如上面那段，很容易就像让人随之起舞不
是么？但是只要是音乐都会有律动的节奏，那么Jazz究竟是怎么Swing的呢？跟说有的
事情一样，从简单的来。假设大家都是幼儿园的娃娃排排坐，老师说咱们来玩一个关于
节奏的游戏。第一个小胖来打最简单的1234的拍子。
1，2，3，4，
恭喜，我们有了一个简单的Blues的最基本的节奏了。小胖你别停，继续打你的4拍子。
第二个黑胖，你要做的是在小胖每一个节奏点上打两次拍子12
1， 2， 3， 4
12， 12， 12， 12
对就这样，小胖和黑胖都别停，保持节奏。
第三个白胖， 你要做的是在小胖每次打24的时候打三个拍子，两短一长。

发帖数: 58873 | 16 恩, 严格说是的. 而且每次都一样的improv慢慢其实就成了arrangement, 从精神上说
就不再是Jazz了. 特别是Modern Jazz对即兴的几乎无限的强调很大程度上也是最后把
市场让给pop和rock的原因之一吧.
如果连一个稳定能被记住的tune都没有, 每次都不太一样, 谁跟谁也不太一样, 怎么让
听众记住天天哼唱? 怎么让小孩子拿个乐器起来学习? 怎么能做大市场呢? 听其他音
乐的现场除了气氛听众要听的是一种熟悉 "We will we will rock you!", 可Jazz是反
其道的, improvise的基础的tune根本不重要, 听得是this time, this moment, this
improv 换句话说是不可复制性. 这跟日本的茶道的一期一会的精神倒是有点类似. |

演唱会的尤其花哨， sounds improvised
但是演唱会花哨无所谓
album里面干干净净不是挺好的
就象“关于禁忌的游戏”有那么多版本
最喜欢的还是拿吉他清唱的版本 |

It depends on the type of dance. For ballet,
"graceful" is a common adjective, but it probably
won't be the adjective of choice for break-dancing;
for the latter, maybe "acrobatic".
Some other words: agile, athletic, dirty, elegant,
fluid, hypnotic, nimble, rhythmic, sexy, seductive,
sultry, wild, ...
You can use "skillful" to describe the technical
or improvisational creativity of a dancer, and

推荐public speaking clubs比如
Toastmasters等，这些俱乐部里面有非常有技巧的演讲者，也有很多是本性很害羞想提
高演讲能力的人。对于前者我们
可以学习如何能够更从容的台风，对于后者，你会在一年半载后对他们有一定的了解，
可能这比没有多少私下来往同事
同学两三年的了解还要多，因为很多人演讲的内容和他们自己有关，而且活动有table
topics这个improvised speech
的环节，很多人一急就说个人故事了。对他们的个人故事知道得多点，以后搭讪比较容
易自然一些。而且哪怕不是为了
圈子，这些俱乐部也不错，因为还有一个是evaluation的环节，我觉得对中国人非常有
益，是学习鬼子constructive的
批评方法，用sandwiches technique，可以帮助我们学习即能提出意见又让人觉得委婉
不伤和气，这个我觉得我们中国
的教育中比较缺少。此外站台上多了，人也没有那么容易胆怯，将来可能更有胆量和陌

auo和charming的小孩教育帖让我想起前一阵听的一位美国老师谈中美教育的讲座，正
好拿来骗包子。
和全世界所有的优秀的小学老教师一样，Nancy Pine慈眉善目，言行谦逊，一上来先问
是不是每个人都看得清她的ppt、听得清她的话，尤其是后排的同学。她不仅自己讲，
而且注意照顾每个听众，观察敏锐细致，反应机敏，又很控制时间和秩序，绝对是美国
小学老师的典范，又符合儒家导师的风度——好的老师中西相通啊。她在加州中小学教
了14年书，又在洛杉矶一大学教了10年教育学，主管和南京大学的交流项目。从1989年
底开始和中国的中小学打交道，对中美课堂有长时间的比较观察。
她描述的中国课堂让在场的中国听众都忍不住心领神会地笑。中国学生齐声朗读或背诵
课文，这是美国课堂里没有的；中国从小学一年级起就对写字有很高要求，writing
