我知道categorical的indep variables要去看下interaction effect是否significant
，但如果indep variable是continous的呢？ 有必要或者说理论上允许不允许去看他们
的interaction term啊？

salary=experience+edu+error 里edu是categorical变量，值为1 2 3 ，1代表高中
，2代表大学，3代表graduate school。
那我把它当成数字1 2 3然后直接做regression，得出一个beta值
和我把它变成几个dummy var来做one way anova得出几个fix effect的coefficient
这两种做法，在本质上有啥区别呢？ 感觉除了手法上有区别，其他比如predict或者衡
量edu对salary的effect来看，没啥大区别啊？
还有在SAS里coding的话，如果edu的变量类型一开始就定义为categorical的话，那用
proc glm是不是就不需要事先create dummy varible？
请赐教！！ |

抛开那些个summation不看，其实就是问：
如果X_i indep，那么X_i - X_.是不是indep。这个很显然，对吧。
然后你说，我把i=1,2代入，X_1-X_.和X_2-X_.总是相反，不独立 -.-
另，你说j=1,2。应该是指k=2？ |

我知道logistics reg本身设计成indep是log odds就是为了能fit出来可加的
Linear sum of indep variables, 但是如果是不同的打分加在一起，还有道理吗，比如
score1 = log (p1/1-p1),
score2 = log(p2/1-p2),
那么score1 + score2 好像不好解释的通啊, 尤其是p1,p2不是independent的两件事情
的话 （虽然比直接p1 + p2多些道理）。
一个引申的问题就是， scorecards model是要把prob 转变成score的，一直不理解转
化的公式为什么要那么定义 ：-） |

thesis和1学分 indep study。问了两个问题，开CPT的process，有什么要注意的。
她回答我，advisor和employer各一封Email给她，她就马上给我开cpt。第二个问题直
接忽略了。
开学后会再跟她确认第二个问题。
现在我担心的是，我们小学校以前拿TA的国际学生应该不多，不知道她处理过多少这种
情况。就算她到时候跟我说没问题，你放心的去外州实习吧，不超过15+25hrs就行之类
的，但是我不知道到时候申请绿卡啥的会不会有问题。
我们学校的政策似乎比较宽的。

我也有类似的情况，我是indepent contractor, 我有independent contractor
agreement. 因为老公单位要放钱的话是要证明配偶有工作，估计要有工作的contract,

contractor 1099-misc。 这两个表格本质的区别在于，w2上你的box1 的grosss
income已经withhold了social security and medicare tax。而1099-misc的box7上的
数字是没有wihthold social security and medicare tax的。因此irs规定保税人必须
申报这笔收入，并且要上缴没有withold的social security and medicare tax.
州税我不太了解，不同州的规定各有不同，很抱歉不能帮到你。
federal individual tax payment的方法是：debit card, credit card,bank draft,
check, money order.一般不建议用现金付款，除非你去local office,看看他们是否接
受现金支付。 |

我是普通工程师，工作一年后跳槽到目前的公司。在目前的公司已经工作了将近一年半。
从以前的那家公司那里学到了一些技能，其中一项对干我这行的工程师很重要。姑且叫
技能A，属于做这个行业产品不可或缺的技能。
目前的公司属于startup，人不太多。我虽然也会其他技能,B/C/D之类的，但是公司里
其他人也会。只有技能A其他的人都属于半懂不懂的状态，只有我能独当一面。所以，
公司里其他的人都没完没了的打听我是怎么做的，总之看样子是想学走。以前我还能做
做样子哄过去。目前遇到了问题，似乎上司也觉得我的技能A很重要，默许其他人努力
跟我学到手。我不教他们，上司就不愿意，反复说"we are a team"。可是我想学其他
的人技能，其他人不教，上司就不管了，说"you should work indepently"。
