JOURNAL?
if the journal only publish 100 papers a year, these values may not be large
(for instance, H-index <= 100), but it could still be a very prestigious
journal.
So do not bother to worry about it.

Exhibit xx]。然后在PL的末尾列出相应的evidence list。
但是我的律师的PL真是就是一份很短的信，4-5页。然后按照claim
的标准分辨列出index of exhibits，每条exhibit后提供一些的说明，也就是1-2句话说明一下这
个evidence的目的，也没有其他太多内容。不知道这样会不会危险，我需不需要要求律师在PL里多加
些细节啊？
所以想问问大家的PL和index是怎么样子的。

有说服力。
所以使用这个h-index支持申请需要三个条件，缺一不可：
（1）不是科学准确的，
（2）对申请者有利，
（3）IO相信它是科学准确的。
如果申请者真是small percentage，不在以上讨论，要是真是small percentage，还用
的着这些花花东西吗？ |

个大牛那里弄来的以做参考，好像是 疯狗哥的。我在此做了改动，把list 多的分为两
部分，另外每部分都做了cover page, 并列上此exhibit list, 每个list 也做了cover
page, and put the list# in the right corner.自己觉得读起来很方便，律师也很
赞赏。没放labels. 可以参见附图。

1.之前四年发表文章的总引用数除以之前三年发表文章的总数；
2.将Index的之前三年发表文章的总数换算成四年， 再用之前四年发表文章的总引用数
除以换算成四年的文章总数。
之所以有这个问题是因为Index统计的文章总数是发表于2004-2006， 而统计的总引用
数是发表于2003-2006的文章的。
另外是否要在PL中说明计算方法呢？

无所谓，这个真的是小事。
exhibit index，这个也是看个人的喜好，一眼看上去感觉清楚就可以了，注意，是
感觉。你真的以为io会去翻看那些exhibits？你太高估io了。。。我自己的exhibits我
整完了都懒得翻，io顶多就看看exhibit index和推荐信吧。
lz放宽心，不用过于纠结细节。 |

发帖数: 357 | 21 自己研究了一下，大概有2种index的方式，第一种是数字从头标到尾（比如exhibit 1-
exhibit 100)，缺点是如果增加或者减少材料，数字需要重新整理；第二种是按照
claim的老三样用A,B,C来标记，其他归为D。这样就是（A1.1，A2.1之类的），好处是
可以随时加减材料，改动比较小；
大家觉得哪种比较好？
另外，exhibition index感觉不太好整理，大家一般怎么总结呢？谢谢了 |

说一下个人看法 每隔一段时间版上就有人要一次这个东西
这个index很久以前网上是可以找到source的 我有同事申请也用过 用来证明自己比同
行文章多
不过这个东西已经被从原始网页撤掉了 因为争议太大 所以现在即使原网址也已经没有了
我个人觉得 这种找不到出处的数据 如果被RFE之后就很难解释了
如果有最近用过这个古老的index的版友可以出来share一下自己的经历 我不建议用
我申请时候也找不到 后来没有用也过了 |

候, 店员说因为它们的镜片index最高只有1.67, 我度数又长了1(-6到-7) 所以配出来
要比我现在用的(三年半前在国内配的)厚一倍, 把我吓退了...
回来查了下网上的眼镜店, 发现起码有1.74的, 不知道costco是所有店都最高1.67, 还
是只我去的那家没有? 除了costco, 还有别的地方推荐么...那些网店貌似都很便宜,
有啥trick没? 不要高级货, 一般的hi index+anti reflection就行. 求有经验的帮忙

"like" clause should be OK. coz you use "A%" instead of "%A" or
"%A%", you can use index anyway.

(1) create the table (tbl1) without index, then load the data
(2) create another empty table (tbl2) which has same structure
as tbl1, plus index
(3) stop mysql server
(4) copy tbl2.frm, tbl2.MYI to tbl1.frm, tbl1.MYI
(5) myisamchk -r -q tbl1.MYI
Since it needs to stop mysql start, it won't work for us.

case）。PostgreSQL 里面的 GiST 就支持。
另外，也可以看看是否可以 index 某个 expression 。这种情况下就是
（column == NULL） = TRUE 的 LHS 。PostgreSQL 里支持。Oracle 也应该支持
的吧 |

司不许用。我也不是说一定要用index，其它solution也行。也就是说一个xx M
records的table，要找col（应该是个date）是null的。
