那么父母尽心尽力给孩子医治，有什么不可以？有人说如果自己得了重病，不想活受罪
，只想死得有点尊严。Well，孩子不会说，但痛苦难受他们是感觉得到的；但他们就算
会讲话说了也没用，因为监护权在父母。但如果孩子已经无治，父母坚决还要折腾，这
时候旁人应不应该挺身而出？就好像路人报警保护孩子一样？
先申明：我没有立场，这只是一个 question。
我喜欢从多方面看事情，我看到版上很多义愤填膺的讨论，但却没有人讨论这个问题：
为何医院要告父母？这是非常不合常理的一个动作，医院要花钱花力气还损名誉，why
？他们是不是真的基于人道理由而告父母？什么程度才算不人道？孩子的病情究竟怎么
样？用的医疗方法是什么？会多痛苦？多难受？
其实很多内情我们都不知道，只有法官与当事人才知道，我们只是凭了一两句话就义愤

可是我們都知道，如果父母虐待孩子，不要說法官，連鄰居、路人都可以干涉！不要说
孩子，连虐带动物都是刑事罪，叫做 animal cruelty。所以现在的问题不是法官有没
有权利干涉，而是孩子有没有被 “虐待”？
什么是虐待？打孩子、不给孩子吃饭，毫无疑问这是虐待。那么让一个无法治愈、还要
忍受病痛折磨的孩子继续受活罪，这算不算虐待？（虐待这字眼或许太强烈，说受折磨
、受苦吧）
根据医院的意见是，"unkind and inhumane"。
（还有一点：英国的 1989 Children Act 规定，当父母与医院意见不同时，可以由法
官决定。这是法律。）

their little ones cry for hours. My daughter is 1.6y and she sleeps with us
. We let her eat as much as she wants and she is off chart all the time.
However she is not fat because she is very active. Good luck to you.

过这几十年，情况已经发生了很大的变化，不过究竟有多大变化，需要更多研究来表明
。比如原来也许90%的黑人都是很低的socio-economic status，现在比例是多少呢? 我
相信比白人亚裔还是高不少，但是有一点确定的是，不能等到这个比例跟其他族裔完全
一样才废除racially-based AA。
说到底，racially-based AA还是植根于class，如果一开始黑人和其他种族处于相似的
socio-economic status，根本也就不会出现AA。可是反过来看，AA的出现跟黑人这个
群体的特殊历史状况是息息相关的。纵观世界，很多地方都有类似race-based AA （比
如中国少数民族不是也有照顾），但是哪里有class-based AA？假使哪天我们都同意不
需要race-based AA了，会不会有人出来呼吁class-based AA？很难说。
我觉得要达到完全的平等，只能靠消灭family，但这是inhuman的，不应该也不可能会

可以理解。正常人这时的情感是，心里默默愧疚，希望努力补偿。
既这么做了，同时又讲出一套套inhumane的理由来justify自己的行为，
甚至还拿这套来建议别人。这就太现眼了。
上面很多回复基本上是挑战social norms的底线。这跟ONS然后
倒过来批判一夫一妻制度属于一个性质。
