加insulation要拆墙当然贵。
Rewire从crawl space走，只换主干的线和部分以后会用高功率的插座，会省不少钱。
Insulation可以只换attic的，也简单很多 |

whole house的rewiring，drywall，insulation，paint四个工一起做的报价。当然贵
了。而且当你拆了drywall，如果发现任何framing，plumbing等其他问题city
inspector就会要求你bring up to code，那就是无底洞了。绝对不止5万啦。
找专门的electrician。不会给你这么报价的。

前面提到的让空调工作更加有效当然是原因之一，但不是主要的。
前房主把所有朝南的窗子都做了tint，这也是一部分抵抗太阳热能的因素。
主要的节能因素还是我们在家里使用了radiant barrier。
这个project持续了几个星期，开销~$600，但是效果也是相当明显的。
自从inspection的时候，检查员建议我们在insulation外面蒙上plastic sheet
因为那些一块块放在drywall外面的insulation（有年头了），有很大的缝隙。
热量从缝隙进入二楼，二楼一到下午就热得很，自然空调耗电高。
我们先用double bubble的radiant barrier把阁楼的门都贴上，
让阁楼的热气不会从薄薄的门板进到屋内；
然后按照inspector的建议，用radiant barrier把drywall外面的insulation蒙起来，
使得二楼墙面的手感温度降低了，室内温度明显降低。
卧室朝西是比较热一些，但热量主要是从窗子进来的，（通过比较表面温度），

attic里加insulation，如果是那种喷出来的碎末，应该比较便宜，而且效果比较明显。

于房间反射的过多空间残响，它像是一座放置在任何麦克风以及任何收音装置后面的组
合式隔音牆。
它主要的功能是收到直接的人声或乐器声，在没有良好设计的工作室中常常会碰到
房间乱反射影响收音品质的困扰，或是录音与收音必须在同一空间时避免收到过多的环
境噪音。不像一般的吸音棉常常只是吸收掉过多的高频，却无法阻绝多馀的乱反射。
这个比较贵，快300块了，其他品牌最便宜的也要一百块。
那在youtube上有个视频，教怎么自己做，成本大概20块。
我也跟着自己做过一个，确实很简单的步骤。效果估计是也还可以。
最起码的是在家录音的干声显得干净很多。
那材料就这几个：
1.Paint Bucket Grid，金属网眼支撑，两块五一张。视频上用了两张，
但是我觉得应该买3张，这样空间会大一点；

但是对于insulator，就不能忽略。所以对于insulator来讲，传统的dft基
本上就歇菜了，算出来的东西基本上是不对的。我们也熟知有很多实验把Si,Ge的一些
吸收谱的exitonic effect研究的还蛮仔细的。
解决方案，
1. PW method，很费时间，算出来的东西很准，对于band gap计算比quantum monte

刚搬了家，家里巨多老鼠，整天晚上在阁楼里跑来跑区的。
忍无可忍下，我去买了老鼠笼子。就是一边有个小口，老鼠进去之后小口就自动封闭了
的那种.
我在家的阁楼里面放了好多个，没想到真有用，晚上睡觉时候老鼠跑动声音减少了。
结果过几天，我去看阁楼里看笼子的时候，我惊呆了。。。
大家想一想，如果你是老鼠，发现这个笼子是诱饵，为了防止其他老鼠上当，你会怎么
做？
我发现，老鼠笼子的那个小口，全部被INSULATION堵住了。也就是说，老鼠在我家阁楼
里捡那种很小的INSULATION，然后把小口堵得没有一条缝隙，其他老鼠都转不进去。
没想到小老鼠，却有这样的智慧和为他人找想的精神。
真的被感动了。只要团结一条心，没有什么做不成的！
我决定把笼子都拿走，在我家养这群小家伙~哈哈~ |

们发现装窗的活很粗糟，周围insulation都没弄，是空的，天冷了直往里灌冷风，正好
我让他们帮我弄molding，他们就一块儿弄了（加insulation）。后来聊了一下老中做
窗的价格，大约是$200左右的窗，bay window的话一千多，比这个美国公司的要便宜一
些，不过也不是便宜到离谱。
我觉得装修施工还是中国人便宜，哪里的人都有偷工减料的，不能因为老中便宜就认定
他们的活干得不好。另外，老美的报价一定要多找几家，有些贵得离谱，可有些也不夸
张，比如我砍树，找的都是老美，报价从$1100到$4600不等，还有沥青driveway，才找
了3家，从$3000多 |

地便宜的简直不值钱，算中高了，房子building本身中低档吧，价钱非常低档。
直接好处
1。是自己住的舒服，同样价格在其他地方买到的房子的quality太无法相比了。看别人
在距离稍微近的好学区买的房子，类似价格的，房子和院子面积是我家一半，房子年龄
是若干倍（>10），里面质量材料也无法相比。
2。经济压力的没有。Refi了好几次。房子有降价但是没有降到影响equity到无法refi的
地步。
3。没有什么邻居孩子老人之类的问题。关起门过日子没人理，好的很。
4。房子相对比较新，没有什么需要做的。住了几年了维护方面也没什么要做的，做的都
是个人爱好来美化的事情。省心。唯一做的一件是增加了一些地方的insulation。直接
结果是一个冬天就省下大几百刀heating，insulation的cost一下就回来了。
直接坏处是
1。不保值，住了3年多，06买的，现在看周围和zillow自己估计损失是1-2万。不过同样
价格的房子换个稍微好的区，也没有涨价的。长期的不知道。

这次主卫装修，把外墙里的insulation换了，可看出insulation状况很差。别的房间暂
时就没办法了。 |

发帖数: 1473 | 49 我的理解是，侧重点不一样，所以有各种不同的方法存在。防潮，放水，THERMAL
INSULATION的，甚至兼加强水泥结构的.
我的CONTRACTOR 的说法是为了防潮，(或者是防水)，用的是一层SHEET，嵌在碎石
LAYER和
CONCRETE LAYER之间。也许对于 THERMAL INSULATION，也不无好处吧。
也许老一些的 BUILDING CODE 不要求这些? 这里应该有很多学工民建的专家吧。 |
