11. 确定ICC的工作地点和工作范围，ICC Onsite interview
很多ICC要求上门的Onsite interview，记住如果是那种直接发给你email的on site
intervew邀请，让你几点几点到什么地方去面试的公司，而你甚至从来没听说他，也
没有过phone interview的过程，千万不要信，这种公司会一次性发出几千份这样的邀
请，貌似传销在中国的做法，去了就要求签约，危险性极大，听朋友们说过这样的东西
，也接到过这样的信，但我反正是没敢招惹这样的公司。正常的ICC赚的是把你出租给
大公司后的利润，而不是办身份的那点deposit，而那种直接发offer的公司就不好说了
。如果你经过正常的交往，预约，phone intervew or phone screen，你感觉确实和他
的recruiter有了联系的公司，向你发出on site的邀请，如果是本地的，你就可以去了
，远程的一定要打听清楚位置，是否报销路费什么的，传说中有负责付费的公司，但是
我没见过，大部分的人都是自己掏腰包去面试的。所以你一定要确定那个位置是你可以
接受的范围 |

是韩国妇女太臭。该国当时用未腐熟的人粪尿浇水稻和蔬菜，由妇女携带水桶完成。故
稻田及妇女皆臭不可当。美军老兵被INTERVEW，谈及对韩国印象，大多数首先提到，
it stinks.

比如据了我们offer就不给报，或上限是$$$）。但faculty职位居然这么个口气的，估
计这个intervew是他们计划外的。他们已经安排了足够多的interview了。不是很看好
面试结果。

不知道为什么这样。。难道真的像以前看过一个帖子说bloomberg真的是只面试很少招
人吗。面试过程
先是两个两个印度工程师问技术，然后hr，然后manager。最后manager结束的时候说We
will see
what happens,听起来不怎么positive。
因为很简单所以感觉表现还不错，只是有两个比较不常见的问题，分享一下。1.如果在
stack上声明了
一个变量，有什么方法可以删除这个变量释放内存，我答的是用一个for或者while循环
，或者另声明一
个函数，但好像不是他想要的答案。2.manager问的一个是声明一个gloable的class，
然后这个构造
函数会在什么时候被调用。。很奇怪的问题，然后他又换了个问法说是在main前还是
main后。。我就说
是前面吧，但还是不太明白。 |

玉，ME的牛人很多，我在这里混了几个月就认识了不少，不过他们太低调，不肯现身。
CS的同学们就别往下看了，里面的数字会让你们见笑的。文中暴露了很多信息,熟人们

背景
ME三无PHD,无经验无实习无身份,其实可以加上无小孩。能力不高不低，学校不上不下
，研究做得不好不坏，我觉得我代表了ME的大多数。除了我老板和几个论文委员会委员
以外，都觉得我找教职完全没戏, 找工业界的研究职位也没指望,所以瞄准了去当民工
。自我感觉优势在于跨学科，知识面比较宽，GPA高,英语在中国人里还算可以(自我感
觉在前1/3),不怯场。劣势在于每个方面只是浅尝辄止,如果深入得问,很容易被问倒。

背景：211本[gpa 2.3], mse 硕, 互联网创业两年。无acm/出国经验
我是国内本硕，本科在北京北五环外一所211大学，p大mse，毕业后创业两年后开始准
备出国，所以把工作和学校一起申请。结果还算不错，google/facebook都拿到offer,
amazon拿到onsite但不打算去了，应该会从了facebook吧。我的经历颇为丰富，从本科
的gpa2.3，到软院读研，再到创业；这是一步步成长的过程，希望我的经历，经验和教
训能够帮助到大家，对我自己也是一个阶段性总结。
就从本科说起吧：
03年来到北京，对学校只有一个感觉，就是彻底的失望----我们学校的计算机系不管是
基础设施还是教育水平都是极差，宿舍没有网络，学校只有3个机房，甚至比不上我中
学机房的机器数量；教学水平也好不到哪去，没有博士点，学历最高的老师是清华大学

最后没有拿到Offer。
Phone Intervew：
1. Palindrome String (LeetCode)
2. Sum3 (LeetCode)
3. Letter Combinations of a Phone Number (LeetCode)
因为都是熟题，电面非常顺利，Sum3还给了排序和HashTable两种解法，当天就通知了
Onsite。
Onsite Interview：
一共三轮，每轮45分钟，因为是Master所以没有System Design：
1. 半轮Culture Fit的问题，另外一道Coding，Sort List (LeetCode)，要求In Place
，递归的解法要用到Call Stack，讨论了一下没想到更优化的方法，就写了递归Merge
的解法。
2. 两道Coding题目，一道可以化为普通的Binary Search，另外一道是Anagrams (
LeetCode)，都很快搞定，之后剩下将近20分钟就让我提问题了，随便聊了一下感觉... 阅读全帖 |

1. lz的research质量如何，有什么用，这个可以商榷。
2. baidu面试官傲慢的态度显示连基本礼节都不具备，更表明其无知。
这完全是两个问题。我这里说的第二个问题，
即使是真正有才的人，一般面试也不会这么问人家。
你别忘了，intervew是双向选择，不是你去问人家讨饭，
在国内特殊的环境下，baidu面试官养成一种施舍心态对待别人，
本身就能表明baidu是个什么企业了。 |

在补充材料的单子上,只有在'其它'一栏被打了勾,注释上有手写的'intervew required
, 面谈'字样.看起来象是,只要人去了就行了,也不用补充什么材料.
我们唯一能够想到的问题是,老人上次2011年来的时候,距离签证过期很近了,海关只给
了他们3个月居留期,在他们的护照上也留了注释.
看到版上最近这种问题也不少,不知大家有什么经验? |

You can ask the officer the options. So he can put you to the group that
same afternoon (if available), or you prefer being scheduled to a later

the rank of school you go to;
your grades;
how well you would fit in, including your personality and communication
skills.
The first 2 will decide whether you will get an on-site interview or not.
Once you get in the door, nothing but the 3rd matters. When I intervew
potential candidates, I don't even look at his/her grades since they've met

Subject: application status","Subject: xxxx program"等等。让你的兴奋和期待至
少还能延续几秒钟直到点开信的内容。我收到的UT-San Antonio的据信的Title是这样
的：“Subject: Thank you, but you were not selected to intervew.”。 一点想

intervewed and I do not feel it was a good deal. #1 if you are a pCP the pay
will be ok, not as good as in US but little close. If you are a specialist.
The salary is way lower than US and I cound not support my family in
Beijing, Also consider the patient volume is very limited due to thay only
see the patient who may have the insurance or rich chinese, think about how

Medical knowledge? maybe. But I do not remember anyone asked during the
intervew. I remember I screwed up the question about VA system. I even did
not know what exactly VA is for. Don't laugh at me.
This ETOH case is a good read for people who want to impress PD. You can
voluntarily ask PD with an appropriate timing. If he is interested, you may

U Minni and Midwestern (arizona) gave out intervew for the international
student, do not know whether they accept or not.
