since varicella is not such a deadly infection. If you just stay in the
room with the patient without intimate contact, you are probably fine. Most

Yes, there are anti-viral medication: acyclovir, famciclovir & valacyclovir.
But those medications do have adverse effects and are not used for
prevention purpose, and not even for most mild infections either.
You still need to get pretty intimate for airborne transmission though,
because virus cannot fly and they have to adhere on liquid particle and
usually require sneezing or coughing to spread it. Alternatively, your
