2003 Corolla LE -- zero problems for 8 yrs except water pump replaced @ 36K

二十一世纪的造车技术，保养好了，碰到烂车真不容易。欧车的驾驶感觉，安全性应该
是不争的。但老中们总黑欧车的reliability，归根结底是一些买欧车的WSN老中要那个
谱，却不舍得花那个钱。
我用见过的实例来给你们分析看看。。
1. 点明让你有91号汽油，为剩那点油钱，非加87，号称开着没多大区别。到时候
engine，fuel injector 出问题了，怪车不好。
2. 烤罗拉可以去walmart 换个油。欧车不愿去那种地方，太没面子，又怕人给弄坏。
dealer又太贵，就能拖一天是一天，尼玛最后engine出毛病，怪车不好。
3. Air filter， sparkplug，radiator fluid 该换就要换。一是不知道，二是舍不得
，又是一个拖。。

电车只有轻微的电流声，而且无换档感觉，所以油门踩下去除了加速度几乎感觉不出来
是踩大了还是小了。所以之前2volt君说红绿灯甩人多少多少多半是因为，汽油车谁不
会没事在local狂踩油门，红绿灯窜出去快只能说明司机猛，并不是车性能好。除此之
外还有刹车动能转换让刹车感觉有点不同，完全感觉不到汽油车固有的发动机震动，另
外就是噪音小

发帖数: 840 | 13 注意外壳车况，有可能的话最好拿到dealer做一次check up看看电机冷却系统是否正常
丰田的hybrid主要可能出现的问题是inverter，这个修起来比较贵，另外电池使用年限
从10年开始是个分水岭，但是电池蓄电能力下降不会影响正常行驶。
除此之外，注意不要用hybrid去tow，很快会overheat电机，修起来比较贵。
保养起来差不多，丰田hybrid是目前市场上最可靠的transaxle,结构精美简洁，也没有
普通变速箱里的可磨损部件。
high mileage的hybrid引擎要比一般车引擎年轻很多，在traffic里面电机代替了
engine来驱动，所以hybrid的engine更换机油的频率更短。
简而言之，hybrid是最可靠的powertrain |

在理想状态下惯性运动，一切都是smooth的。你到底看没看懂我前面的帖子？

死的车肯定没问题。电池死到底，完全充不上电，提供不了任何电流的车是另一回事。
prius也是类似情况。
jump电池彻底死的车，好车的电池加发电机需要提供坏车starter需要的全部电流外加
坏电池本身消耗的电流，电动和混动车的12伏电池CCA都太低，比较困难。 |

都说好女人是所学校，不过也得她会教才行。女faculty就是干教育的，一定能把你教
好。普通太太只会吩咐你干这个干那个，完了数落你这里不好那里不对，还骂你懒，这
叫纯lecturing。现在的好女faculty都知道先示范给你看，有时还会录成video。然后
你切身实践时，她从旁观察，给你指出这里还可以再洗多两下，那里还可以再煮多两分
钟，这叫inverted classroom。尊重学生，不骂你懒，而是想出好办法来motivate你，
让你自发主动干活，学得又快又好。“三人行，必有我师”，说的就是faculty之家。
你刚一往邪路上走，就给你个Early Warning，叫你迷途知返。多好！
2． 不纠缠
有些没有工作或者工作不忙的太太，整天在华人网上东家长李家短，捕风捉影讨论关于

我也拿过school and college的teaching award，还在我们学校的teaching academy里
面，所以看过不少统计数据。
Teaching evaluation 这个不同专业差别很大，商学院和艺术学院一般都高，理科平均
要低不少。所以tenure的时候评价teaching，主要是同专业里面比较。
class size 是非常重要的因素，显著的负相关；老师的 teaching experience 是另一
个因素，interestingly, it's inverted-U shape。 |

材料的first exposure并不是最好的学习机会。所以他们让学生事先看video自学等，
然后老师上课就是做题，算是2nd exposure。
我有时候想想他们说的也有道理。我现在用的还是传统的lecturing。但是我觉得如果
你考砸了，之后马上讲一下，这种2nd exposure可能会产生比较深的印象。 |

parts. but generally, it is counted as "a private school". How can you say
"just comparing with public schools? Comparing with UCLA and UCB also makes
sense, because these two have good reputations in public schools, and
they have much better average SAT scores ten years ago, but the situation is
inverted. At least in terms of this criteria, USC passed them already.

把一直当音源的sansa fuze换成wd tv mini加一个7寸的on dash LCD屏幕。
wd tv mini带光纤输出，用光纤连接至trunk里的朝露d2解码器。
朝露d2模拟输出至一台soundstream mc245功放。(功放和解码都是去年加的，解码的电
源是专门找的pure sine wave inverter）
后门上再加一对tweeter，和后座头枕后面的两分频coaxial喇叭一起接到一对
crossover上，让coaxial喇叭只负责中低频。
现在只要把mp3拷到u盘里，插到wd tv mini上就能听了。wd tv mini还支持ape和flac
，听无损也没问题。屏幕比较差，但放个rmvb的电影也能凑合看。下一步打算加个8寸
的sub，和一个equalizer。车里面的声学环境太差，似乎equalizer是少不了的东西。 |
