If I start a business or want to invest into friend's business, may I do it
through the retirement account?

我是用H&R Block报税，好像不能offset.因为rental是passive income而我不是real
estate professional.
仔细看了Net Investment Income Tax的Form 8960, Line 4a 是从1040 Line 17来的。
而1040 Line 17是从Schedule E来的。Line 22 (6) allowed income or loss this
year is 0. |

1)postive return gurantee, no loss of principle
2)一些liquidy就行。GIC在没有mature的时候是不能withdraw
的。有的有benefit responsiveness条款的，可以withdraw
但很少。
3）Full investment, 不能timing market.
偶觉得private debt的liqudity不够，GIC 总要mature的。
public debt买长期bond，再imunization。
Mortgage好象也要的，yeild比较
只是偶自己的一点看法。 |

business there. A friend of mine worked for Goldman&Sachs for several months.
I think he hated it because he quitted in 2 or 3 months. First of all, you are
second class employee there. Secondly, the corporation culture there is
different. My friend told me they went out drinking after work 2 or 3 times a
week. He didn't like it at all.
Of course, there are certain advantages working for investment bank if you

ppt version 52. Internally, it's all about corporate finance, including
profit analysis, budgeting/cash flow, risk management, reporting, etc
Business development, I think this is about marketing and sales.
Investment, for a regular corporate investment, treasury department is in
charge of liquidity, risk hedging, profits are not their first priority. |

refers to Sales and Trading, while at Morgan Stanley and Citi, Capital
Markets refers to equity and debt financing (IPO, and bond issuance).
Investment Banking: corporate finance, M&A, and debt and equity raising (if
the bank doesn't have a seperate capital markets division like MS and Citi
