发帖数: 264 | 5 老刀会的之前之后两个 晚上激动的没好好睡觉（拼命的跟miki，JDJ聊天，不舍得睡觉
），现在才补回来！老刀会激动的，光听了，回来才发现笔记记少了！
去老刀家之前，光想着老刀家的红叶了，那一片绿映映的新绿让人眼前一亮。今年我只
准备申请病理。所以看到老刀一介绍病理医生，我就静耳聆听。
决大部分内容老刀的博客以及各位前辈都有提及，可是读到的与你真正体会到的是有很
大的距离的。我的老刀会最大收获就是体会，也许好多体会到现在我也不懂，可能只有
经历过才能完全领悟吧。
讲讲我不知道的吧：

发帖数: 264 | 7 看了Iserson's GETTING INTO RESIDENCY. 讲毕业后的市场,好像病理是一个小专业.肯
定不能与内科,家庭医生比. Fellowhship 是must的. 好像也没听说找不到工作的. 能
够进入program,只是一个开始,后面的路长着那. 但你可能也感觉到了,几乎所有的病理
医生都非常渊博--非常cool! 更academic. 对于你来说,找工作不会有问题的. 但是如
果你的目标是那几个有名的医院,那就要加倍努力了. |

this long journey. Treat them just like UWorld for the steps. I wish I had
done that.
Applying for match is actually a systemic work of improving yourself as a
whole presentable package to the programs. Our CV and Personal Statement
need to provide the evidences of our characters, which hopefully are what
the programs are looking for.

浏览了一下最近的发帖，有一些原则性的东西想要提醒大家。我起个抛砖引玉的作用，
大家有则改之，无则加勉，祝大家申请顺利。
1. PS里的人生故事一定要make sense。类似以前在国内做内分泌，出国做血液研究，
以后想做消化的故事会让PD质疑你的committment. 不管现在想申请那一科，将来像继
续做什么专科，写在PS里就一定要有充分的理由，这是个反应你思想成熟与否的事情。
至于进去了以后到底做什么，将来还是你自己说了算。
先去上班了，大家要有什么问题，可以发在这里，晚上回来接着写和回答。Have a

书籍：
Next day job interview，大学图书馆都有E BOOK， 很短，可以给没面试过的同学一
个大概概念。 Iserson’s getting into residency, 很详细，尤其是QUESTIONS方面
，我认真看了下。
麦地总结的IV 问题。
服装：
BOTTOM LINE IS 没人在乎你穿什么，只要别是穿奇装异服、看起来干净整齐就行。普
通的SUIT就行，女生裙子裤子都可，黑蓝灰。拿什么包也无所谓，我还看到有拿开会发
的免费编织袋去面试的。头发整齐，别化浓妆，少带首饰，低跟鞋。
准备：
我列了十几个问题，把自己的思路/答案写下来，斟酌一下。和LD练习了一下，他提了
他的建议，两个人商量着又改了改，然后再练习一下。
写下10几个要问FACULTY和RESIDENTS的问题，都是很俗的问题。
经验：
眼科的面试大概是6、7个FACULTY加CHIEF轮番1 ON 1 面试， 15-20 MIN/EACH, 非常轻

的感觉，觉得每句话都很重要，恨不得每句都记下来，所以我的笔记可能不够重点突出

，朋友，打听program的情况。当时已经收到>10的面试，不乏university program，要
是program不好，我有打算不去面试。返回的意见很正面，尤其是一个前辈的
电话，让我下了决心：这是一个值得面试的program。 我的同学忠告我：要把去的每个
一面试当做唯一的一个来对待，要不就别去。
从八月结束step3，我的重点就放在申请和准备面试上。面试的书，看了”interview

子扎扎”，而我也进入心仪的 residency program。欣慰感慨之余，不禁要回顾来路、
展望前路。在跨入另一段历程前，写下点东西，希望对自己能是总结，对他人亦有帮助
。此外，前任和现任版主都曾联系我，希望做个讲座来分享经验。但是因为身份问题尚
未完全解决，需在实验室工作到 5 月，PI 希望我能在离开前完成文章初稿。工作繁忙
