事情是这样的，圣诞前某个早上，我们这里大雾，能见度很低，大约20~30米左右。
我在一个路口左转，路口有stop sign。因为有雾，我已经很小心的，等路上看不见

Vangard, Oakmark(value style), Janus (growth style), RowePrice, Franklin
Templeton, Matthews (asia fund), Kinetics, Wells Fargo, Dreyfus,Harbor (
International), Artisan, PIMCO (bond fund), etc.(太多, 只列这几个把).
对初买基金的, 我感觉从Vangard开户, 先从它的index fund里挑几个做为core
holding是个好主意.Vangard的基金种类不多, 相对不会有眼花缭乱感觉.而且收费很低
,值得长期保持, 你也会从拥有的过程中对基金的方方面面有进一步的了解.为你的进一
步提高打下坚实基础.另外就是各fund family 的target fund,日期是你打算的退休年
龄, 2040, 2045 什么的, 也是core holding好主意 |

mostly emerging market bonds).
to build bulk of my 401k portfolio.
If I want more US bond, I will add Vanguard Interm-Term Bond Index Adm even
though bond index never makes sense to me, OK as ballast.
If I want more US equity, I will add Advantus S&P 500 Index, or T.

small AUM (now), long tenured manager, and I vaguely remember they do close
fund from time to time. Its investors behavior at least partly to be blamed.
The guy will be much more successful if he manages a CEF rather than an OEF. |

to beat the index in long-term. For emerging market and small caps, the
chances are better, for non-treasuries bonds, the chances are much better.
Bill beat benchmark by nearly 2% annualized before fees, and more than 1%
after fees. |

proceeding went to a math PhD dropout and art collector ... while stay put
in Dan Ivascyn's funds. Should have done it long time ago, always not sure
if anyone can manage a fund with more than $200B. Bill's ouster sealed the
deal for me.
Considering to direct some cash to Bill's fund at Janus sometime in the
coming months. |

guarantee anything. 我是觉得长期投资最重要的是在明确目的，确定组合后按照需
要去买MF/ETF。挑选具体的fund的时候，performance， return 这些综合的考虑，如
果是index fund, 当然ER最重要，挑active fund 的时候，reputation 很重要，举个
例子，vanguard health care fund, primecap 历来都是非常好的reputation,
longleaf partner, oakmark, artisan等等 都有口碑非常好的fund。 相反举个反例，
Janus, CGM focus fund, NB的时候真NB，但大家都知道它长不了的。这些都不是可以
用performance ER这些衡量。 |

发帖数: 278 | 38 我一直有个想法，不知道对不对。当你把asset allocation 当作核心策略，
allocation 就是决定future return 最重要的决定因素，至于具体用哪个fund去cover
哪个asset class, 对整个组合的future return 影响不大，所以我不会太纠结ER，
past performance, index or active, 在实际操作中， 更得flexible一点，因为毕竟
每个401K或者IRA provider, 可选择的MF是有限的，碰上个把不太令人满意的fund 差
不多就行了。换句话说，如果我的401K不幸全部是Janus 我现在也有信心建一个我可以
满意的组合。 我一定要坚持的就是buy and hold 和 asset allocation. 这两个在我
看来比low ER 和indexing 更重要。 |

了一下好像评价都一般，这里面blended investment好像都很一般啊，有没有想
vanguard index那种比较省心的，但是又是比较aggressive，有high yield long term
的fund啊？谢谢
如果都没有，我就放3%拿到公司的match，其他钱放ira对吧？

很多没结婚，工作了5，6年的27，28岁的外地来沪年轻白领的月消费是这样的：
1.租房 1500老公房，1室户，全装修，带电器空调，厨房卫生间。非市中心区。
2.吃，早餐豆浆油条或者炸糍粑，小饼包子什么的，3块钱 。中餐公司附近，10-15元
，晚饭也在外面吃10-15。一般都是桂林米粉，拉面，各种盖浇饭，骨头汤菜饭一类的
。一个月一般1000。
3.行：一般作地铁，一天来回10块，一个月22天上班，220。
4.ADSL+座机和电话费200快，水电煤气300块。手机费50，总共550
这是基本生活消费了，大约要花掉3000-4000了。也就是税前工资要达到6000-7000左右。
到不了这个数的就要考虑和朋友合租，在吃上面省一点了。
剩下的就是出去唱歌喝酒买衣服等等了，这个没有底了。
