最近，网上流行一个词，叫做“中国式过马路”，源自网友的微博，称：“中国式过马
路，就是凑够一撮人就可以走了，和红绿灯无关。”
这个提法一出来，响应热烈，人民日报和中央电视台等权威媒体也纷纷跟进，网友议论
纷纷，其中一个老话题又带了出来：中国人素质低，集体不守规则。将集体闯红灯的现
象，命名为“中国式”，本身就有“中国独有”的含义。
在此需要指出的是，此现象绝非中国独有，中国人心目中最发达的美国，自称是“世界
中心”的大都市纽约，集体闯红灯的现象也非常普遍。
这几年里，时时在曼哈顿的大街上行走做行人，天天开车在纽约的马路上做司机，对纽
约行人闯红灯的现象深有体会。可以毫不夸张地说，任何时间、在任何一个路口，都能
看到成群结队的行人在闯红灯。
如果说，“中国式过马路”是“凑够一撮人”就闯红灯，尚有所顾忌，“美国式过马路
”则还不如中国式，行人我行我素，全然不顾车辆和其他行人，自己直接开步走，连和
他人“凑一起”的意识也没有。仿佛他们根本看不到红灯或者绿灯（纽约是白色通行灯

但是请你不要误导大家，美国没有行人有路权这种说法, 只是有在交叉路口开车的应该
让行人这种说法。笼统地说行人有路权，因为有些地方交规明确规在非交叉路口行人需
要避让车辆！！！
我理解在美国很多地方， 在交通不忙的时候，无论是不是交叉路口，大多数开车的都
会礼让行人。
但真出了事，看交规，不看“行人有路权”，开车的和行人谁都没有优先路权，交规怎
么说才是唯一依据。jaywalking 这个事儿，访美的华人中血的教训太多了，有好多起
事故就是因为访美的华人听信了这个忽悠人的“行人有路权”丧了命。 |

老黑太讨厌了，今天早上在一条local主干道上，我开40迈左右，边上没什么车，我看
到前面8-10米处有一老黑从人行道走上curb，我看他太近了，就下意识地放慢速度，没
想到这厮就这样看着我，直接横穿马路，我一下反应不及，只好赶紧打到右lane,从他
身边开过去了.还好旁边没有车。md还好前面放慢速度了，不然撞上了算谁的？
PS：那地方没有斑马线也没有红绿灯，那家伙绝对是jaywalking |

B. Even at intersections,yield doesn't mean full stop.
here's what it says in the Vehicle Code:
21950. (a) The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a

any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection, except as otherwise provided

a ticket for traffic violation, you still need to come to a full-stop to
yield them, and only pass them when you are sure it will not
endanger them. These two situations are separate.
If you do not comply, you WILL receive a ticket from the police
officer. May newcomers remember the law with the help of this
kind of tickets. You are not the first, and will not be the last. |
