there's a foreign language channel in Shanghai, it keeps
broadcasting JDrama with Japanese vocal and Chinese subtitile...
some other channels play JDrama also, they add the Chinese vocal
by themselves...

I admire your daughter.
When i was a kid. I went to a public school, I even got free lunch ticket
since I was from a single parent family and my mother's annual salary is
less than 3x00.
I then went to one of the suckie public schools, had uncle sam paid for my
tuition. OH and student loan, too.
But I need to point out that my school is suckie like hell, always
struggling at the lower 40s. I am sure your daughter will grab one of the
ivyleague admissions.

nod, nod...when i went back to Shanghai last June, I found
piles of pirate CDs of JDrama, hoho...
including some very new dramas at that time...
the price is around RMB80-90 each, depending on number of charpts.
