WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. employment growth jumped in June and the jobless
rate closed in on a six-year low, decisive evidence the economy was growing
briskly heading into the second half of the year.
Nonfarm payrolls increased by 288,000 jobs last month and the unemployment
rate fell to 6.1 percent from 6.3 percent in May, the Labor Department said
on Thursday. Data for April and May were revised to show a total of 29,000
more jobs created than previously reported.

February, continuing a trend of stalled employment despite signs of a
healthy domestic economy and a comeback by the U.S. job market.
The net job losses in February totaled 2,800, dragged down by retail and
wholesale trade, transportation and other services, Statistics Canada said
on Friday.

I want your opinion. I am a software engineer. I am EB3 and I am on EAD.
I am in Middle West area and my permanent job pays a little over 100k. My
wife also holds a permanent job. I am home based for current job.
Recently, I am contemplating to get another contractor job , also home
based (corp. to corp., which means that I pay whole social security, 15%.
comparing with the W2 based, the employer pays 7.5% and I pay 7.5%).
Technically I am able to handle both jobs.
