毙，埃尔-迈赫迪曾声称他遭到了伊拉克军队的虐待。
埃尔-迈赫迪在伊拉克首都有一档每周一次的广播节目，他还为几个网站撰写评论文章
。他曾呼吁伊拉克政府提供更好的公共服务。他并且利用社交网站Facebook来组织在巴
格达的每周示威行动。
他的死亡得到伊本 .埃尔-纳菲斯医院的医务人员的证实。
伊拉克2月份爆发全国性反政府示威后，有四名伊拉克记者声称被伊拉克军队士兵绑架
，埃尔-迈赫迪是其中之一。他曾描述自己被拘留时遭受了“野蛮并且非人的”待遇，
他说他被蒙上眼睛，被浸水，并且遭受电击，当时那些士兵还在放音乐。
美联社援引那些记者的话说，那些士兵要他们承认是萨达姆时期的执政党复兴党成员。

许３～５年之后我们这个领域可能会大热，但是目前是没有人关注的。我不觉得Nature
methods会理睬我们啊，十有八九会说，啊，你们这个东西缺乏general interest呢，
还是投个专门的杂志去吧。
然后我看了一下Nature Protocol，他们的说明是：

晕死。不会是IO把我的信寄给你了吧？怎么我们是同一个IO，专业背景也这么相似？我
也是做Bragg grating sensor和Biomedical measures & instrumentation
的。
这些证据就要慢慢收集了。要注意三点：首创，已生效的贡献，最好是没直接接触过的
人提供的证据。

jouranl, 19 manuscript
赶紧和杂志编辑或小秘联系，请他们出支持信，表明这个杂志很牛，只有
extraordinary researcher才会被邀请为reviewer。是否管用就不好说了。我给8个杂
志审了48篇稿子，其中近半是业内除nature science外最好的杂志，但这个399号IO也
还是认为数目不够 |

首先先谈一下princeton。不得不说当年没有去princeton是一个遗憾。一从火车站
下来，看见普大校园，立刻就震撼 - 如果在我心中有个理想的校园的话 - 那就是
普大。绝大多数建筑全部是用岩石建成，中世纪的那种学院气立刻扑面而来。就我
去过的学校而言，mit象一个公司，其唯一的亮点mit dome则看上去象瓜皮帽；harvard
有一些漂亮点的建筑，但是格式不统一，看上去陈旧杂乱。在mit的好处是丢掉煽情，
彻底变土(good will hunting)；在harvard的好处则是可以学会如何衣冠禽兽(legally
blonde)；而在普大，大约可以做到把自己关在小屋子里，想一些不切实际的冬冬，
然后哈哈一下，豁然大悟，屈指一算五年过矣，而宗师已成(a beautiful mind)。
刚批评完3k，现在自己后煽上了，哈哈。只不过现在这个学术环境，要再出john nash
已经不可能了，first year paper, second year qualification, three high-profile
