作服的专卖店去。
在《BRUTUS》日文杂志中，有一个针对外国人设计的东京导购专栏，外国人真的会
喜欢一些在当地人看来不屑一顾的东西。听说几年前，英国的电影导演——迈克•利
（Mike Leigh）到日本时，深受日本商品包装纸的吸引，收集了非常多的包装纸。
而且外国人也会突发奇想，以完全不一样的方式穿着当地的服装，比如说：和服
（Kimono）。19世纪时，许多到日本的观光客会买和服，当作是在房间穿的宽松
睡袍（dressing gown），完全无视礼品店里的说明：“Kimono ——送给外国友人
最贴心的礼物”。
以同样模式流传到西洋世界的“东方服装”，还有裤装睡衣（pyjamas）。裤装睡
衣起源于伊朗语的“pae jamah”，意思是“包着脚的服装”，那是一种以绳子围腰而穿
的宽松裤子，在印度与中东地区相当普遍。
西洋人原本流行穿着长袍入睡，到了1880年左右，西方开始流行起东洋风。人们将

人，少量亚洲人，日本人和中国人大概各占一半。
五月份邻近的一个镇有一个japan spring festival，期间会有一个kimono fashion
show。这个日本老师刚刚email来问可不可以请我家女儿去当这个和服秀的模特。这次
活动的收益款会捐给当地图书馆和2011日本地震受害者。
其实不是什么大事，但是一时之间难以决定，好像之前还没有遇到过这么纠结的问题，

also culturally. One minute you can walk next to a group of elderly women all
dressed in kimono, and the next you are sitting next to punk/goth girls in a
starbucks. As I said, this contrast runs deeper than what the eye can see. I
was surprised to find that such a highly developed country is hostage to such
