the normal one doesnt work good.
i once suspected the mouse is no good, but it turns out that it works very
good on a very smooth, or even glossy surface, right now, i am using a
kid's book cover as the pad. |

I need a polymer which has high viscosity but low elasticity. u know, it's
something like play-dough. I don't care the chemical structure of the polymer.
so, how can I get it? adding plasticizer to the polymer? I heard that using
plasticizer may increase elasticity. Is that true?

Viscosity and elasticity mostly depend on the crosslinking density of the
target polymers. IF PDMS gets crosslinked, it's a kind of rubber! If
hydrogel-like polymers are not crosslinked, they are gelatinous materials,
just image the agaragar.

Moreover, if the proportion of the amphiphilic side chains in one side
can be adjusted from 100pct to 50pct, that will be better.

grafted onto the backbone of a polymer chain? I don't know anything about such
kind of material, but it is technically possible.
what do you mean by "all the side chains attached to one side of the polymer
backbone"? do you mean 100% isotactic? that makes mission impossible.
if there is a way to synthesize your material, there will be a way to tailor
the content of each component. |

for many junior positions, I overqualify a bit.
just know a little about quant. never really thought about it much because I

indeed, almost everybody's actual research is kind of different.
I just happened to use those fields in my research.
That's exactly my confusion. how to define "very"? I think I have
reasonable understanding, that's it. Take programming for example, if you
ask me to program a computer game, I cannot do it (maybe takes decades to
figure it out myself). But simple ones should be fine.
